I booked this hidden gem, last minute, the night of stay through booking.com. Stayed in little mini cabin conveniently located 5 min walk from Wall Drug. All other hotels in the area were completely booked up. The attendant in the office was pleasant and quick about getting me checked in. She had some technology issue with computer and called the manager, who answered right away and helped her correct the issue in minutes. The cabin was cute and tastefully decorated, extremely clean, very quiet(except for AC unit sound), comfortable bed with extra pillows, multiple TV channel options, and even had dedicated bench for sitting and parking spot conveniently in front of my cabin. As Wall Drug is probably a "been there done that" kind of place for me, I will miss the opportunity to visit this lovely establishment again. My hope is this review helps others to choose to book with Hansen Inn & Cabins over the run of the mill hotel chains in the area.

Everything was Great! Nothing to complain about! Perhaps a little shop in the office would take up some of the open space.

The room had a weird smell. It also has a weird hallow floor. So every step was like walking in a can. The walls are super thin so you can hear everything from upstairs and on either side of you. The rules for the dogs are crazy. They can only use the tiny patch of grass that’s tucked away in the back. Plus they state in their paperwork that the dogs are not allowed on the bed.

We liked the uniqueness of the property. It was clean and neat and cute. The bed was comfortable. It had plenty of lighting and there were notes all over the place to tell you how to do things to turn on fans and lights and check out touchless. The staff was very accommodating. We needed a lower level room and that is what we were given.

We liked everything about the property.

Requested 2 rooms because we were traveling with our teenage kids. They got a double room in the main building and we got a king cabin on the backside. Because it was a cabin, we didn't have anyone sharing a wall, so it was really quiet. And of course, The teenagers never complained about noise. There was a coffee machine in the room, but we walked to the lobby and got fresh coffee in the morning. Wall Drug is literally a block away. So it was nice being able to park the car and walk to explore the cute little town and have dinner.

The cabin was slightly musty, but it might be because pets were allowed in that room and the cleaning products they used. Not a big deal. There is a ceiling fan and the ac worked.
