Seeing Green Udawalawa

We are a family of four with two kids and travelled to Sri Lanka in July 2026. We covered Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Udawalawe, Weligama, and Galle, staying in five different hotels along the way. Out of all five, our best experience by far was staying here. We were welcomed very warmly and taken care of immensely. The owner stays on the property himself, and he's such a nice person, he literally went out to the market to fulfill our dinner requests. The food served was really good. We had local Sri Lankan food for dinner and breakfast, prepared based on our preferences. They also arranged our safari. The owner got up early in the morning before the safari truck arrived to make sure we had snacks and a light breakfast to take along. At checkout, he again packed snacks for our journey to Weligama. They have a huge pool, kept neat and clean, and you'll see peacocks roaming around the property. Overall, we loved our stay here. I almost forgot to mention, on your way into the property, you'll spot plenty of wildlife, including deer, elephants, iguanas, wild boars, monkeys, and peacocks. Don't hesitate to book this property, it's absolutely worth the money.

We just faced wifi issues, but who cares when you are busy exploring the nature.

Excellent stay at seeing green Lovely peaceful surroundings with lovely lodges and an amazing infinity pool Owner was very friendly and went over and above to ensure we had everything we wanted - even drove to the local shop for us for extra drinks. Breakfast was fabulous and ready for us when we returned from our mining safari.

The host was extremely helpful - nothing was too much trouble. He organised a great safari in the National Park. The breakfast, lunch and evening meals were all excellent but the portion sizes enormous!

The wifi was very poor and as a result we couldn't pay by card as we had intended.

An für sich ein sehr schönes Hotel. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste. Das Zimmer war sehr einfach. Der Pool ist großartig! Gerade mal ein halbes Jahr alt. Sehr sauberes Wasser. Das Abendessen war lecker und reichhaltig.

Die Unterkunft ist nicht richtig auf Gäste aus dem Ausland vorbereitet. Es gibt nur Wasser zum Abendessen. Keine Milch für den Kaffee. Das Besteck war noch nass, die Teller ebenso,
