Neglected and unsafe room, terrible treatment from host and Booking.com

The only good thing was it's proximity to UQ campus

This property was not secured, so it was not safe to stay. The bathroom window could not be locked, with easy access from outside. The glass front door was cracked and damaged. I was seriously stung on my face by wasps from a huge paperwasp nest on the access gate. I had driven over 3 hrs to get there for a week long university course, only to be subjected to wasps and a neglected and unsafe room. The manager did nothing to assist me, and kept saying she would get back to me with 'next steps'. This never happened and I left to find accomodation for the night and for the remaining week. I ended up living out of my car bouncing from hotel to hotel. The owner is accusing me of lying and refusing a refund. Booking.com keep saying they will get back to me and do not. This has been a terrible experience, the worst I have encountered. Irs jas cost me a fortune and I will go to the Office of Fair Trading. I reiterate... DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY!.

Overpriced and terrible

I liked the possums in the backyard. The bathroom was nice.

The toilets were filthy when we arrived. The tenant asked us how many guest there were and we told them, still there was only one pillow. It said that it was a full house of 150 m2 but it's actually just one very small bedroom and the kitchen is shared outside of the house. The pictures taken and a very good angle to distort the size of the room. The bed had to be put in one place (seeing how small the room was) so the charging outlets were behind the bed so we had to move it to put our chargers in. And the other outlet was in the closet very high. And at the end when we were leaving, we had to empty the bin, which seam to reflect on why the toilets were not clean. Very bad experience. Clearly overpriced for the service and the location.
