Rothbury Downs

What an absolute gem! Our stay at Rothbury Downs was made truly special by the wonderful hosts, Ric and Kim. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel less like guests and more like old friends visiting for the weekend. The accommodation was immaculate, with the rooms fastidiously clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully presented. Every detail had been carefully considered to create a relaxing and memorable experience. One of our favourite moments was waking up each morning and seeing colourful hot air balloons drifting peacefully across the valley from the comfort of our bed. It was simply magical and a view we'll never forget. We loved meeting the adorable Highland cows and miniature donkeys, who quickly became highlights of our stay. In the evenings, gathering around the fire pit was the perfect way to unwind, enjoy great conversation, and soak in the beautiful surroundings. Ric and Kim's warm hospitality, combined with the stunning scenery, spotless accommodation, and unique country experience, made this a truly exceptional getaway. We arrived as guests and left feeling like friends. We can't recommend Rothbury Downs highly enough and are already looking forward to our next visit.

I like both the hosts - they were so hospitable and welcoming. They made us feel at home.
