The location

The bathroom door gets stuck

We stayed in Wren. A key code is sent to you for hassle free entry. The lodge is small and compact and has ‘Most’ things that you need for a great stay. The hot tub is fabulous and you have nice privacy from other lodges to enjoy it. Great decking area to sit out on with table and chairs, good for food and drink outside. It has 2 nice chairs inside Beautiful location, there is a great pub nearby (Cross Keys) serves lovely home cooked food. The heater is small but really packs a punch to warm the place up. It was very clean and has plenty of sockets. We were really impressed with the lovely gift on entry of Prosecco, short bread and crisps, really nice welcoming touch 🙏🏻

It was advertised with a hob and oven but ours just had microwave, kettle and toaster. For me a ‘Good’ mattress is a must for a decent nights sleep. It has what I consider to be an older ‘Spring’ mattress which I really struggle with and I didn’t sleep great both nights we stayed unfortunately. I don’t think it would be too expensive to provide a mattress upgrade, for me it would make a huge difference. Check in time is 4pm??? Surely this could be lowered to 2pm? Check out is 10am, in my opinion 11am would have been much nicer.

Everything was fantastic, great quiet and peaceful location the lodge had everything needed and was warm and cozy the hitting was warm and ready when we got there! We stayed in Wren! It had just about everything you needed. It says an oven and stove top on some listings, there’s a microwave/grill, air fryer and microwave pans in the cupboard. No stove top or actual oven. Just about everything you could think of was provided and also a bottle of Prosecco and some crisps and biscuits were gifted, a lovely touch! The dog visiting was a highlight of course! Unfortunately I took no pics apart from the lake located on the doorstep and the dog!

My only small complaint is the shelf behind the bed hadn’t been cleaned or even wiped down there was long black hairs (I’m Blonde and husband had short curly black hair) and also a lot of dust there apart from that everywhere was clean!

It was rural clean, tidy everything we wanted
