It was really cosy with beautiful views and well equipped. Although we were in a quiet location we could walk in to the centre of Porthmadog in no time at all where there was a plentiful choice of pubs and places to eat without the need to get in the car. Also a good range of takeaways. It was a short scenic walk from the cottage to Borth y Gest which Sid the dog loved, The information folder in the sitting room was really helpful and comprehensive and it would’ve taken me longer to discover this walk without it.

It was a shame we couldn’t access the rear terrace but we still had the lovely views from the bay window. The parking was a bit tricky when we arrived but it was the Sunday of the Bank Holiday weekend. After the Bank Holiday weekend the parking was much easier.

Très belle maison de vacances familiale, avec une véritable personnalité. La décoration est très agréable et soignée. Les équipements sont complets et de qualité. La vue sur le port est magnifique. Tout est beau.

Un ménage un peu plus approfondi serait appréciable.

A lovely little cottage with stunning views across the harbour and out to the mountains. Centrally located, a short walk from the town centre and you can see the steam engines coming in and out of the station! The house had everything we needed and was well equipped for a short or longer stay. You can tell it's a very much loved family holiday home, which the owners still use. They've thought of everything that a visitor may need, so feels very much like you're staying in someone's home, rather than a typical short stay accommodation venue.

Parking and access was a little problematic on the street. But there is long term paid parking a short walk from the house. We did have an issue with a faulty smoke alarm and had to resort to taking it down and removing the batteries. We did receive a new unit the very next day while we were out. But it was let on the coffee table and I had to hang it back in the myself. The fridge was also on its way out and we had to run it on the lowest setting just to make sure things stay cold. Although it's much loved, it's starting to show it's age and could do with some refreshing in a few areas.

Perfect location for a relaxing holiday. Short walk to shops and restaurants, gorgeous views of steam train, the Welsh hills and of the harbour. Car drive or a coastal walk to beautiful beaches and more stunning views. The cottage had everything you need, kitchen facilities were good, air fryer, coffee machine, dishwasher. Lovely shower and big bath to relax in after a day of walking. Plenty of books and board games to keep you busy on a quiet evening in.

WiFi slow at times, dvd player wasn't working.
