3 John's Place Townhouse

the location was great. Mostly peaceful and just about 15 mins by tram from the centre. Also easy journey by tram to and from airport. lovely Turkish cafe/deli few mins away. I loved the room. comfortable bed. quiet road. Felt like a safe area. Police station nearby!

I needed to leave my suitcase as I was wanting to go into Edinburgh and had just arrived late morning at 3 St Johns Place. you have to download an App which is meant to lock and unlock one of a series of lockers. App didn't work. it said no lockers available. in fact out of about 20 I found several open and empty. I had to call the place and they were good in that a cleaner kindly offered to carry my bag to my room. I had paid extra for 'early' access which meant after 1pm. Room not ready when I arrived but concerned about my bag. All was OK but an unnecessary hassle. Other irritating thing - woken up at 7.30am as gardener was using noisy leaf blower! There are stairs which if I had have had to carry my bag up, would have been awkward for me. just wanted to warn others of this. Area felt quite safe; mixture of slightly run down shops on route into the centre of City, but not a problem.

I liked how modern and clean the space was with a curated touch of local ceramics and beverage offerings.

It would’ve been helpful to have a few more snack options available even if for purchase.

Perfect location and very clean and tidy

Very clean, great area, close to tram.

Specific room was very small. Do not recommend staying in a basement room as there is no window or ventilation. Thankfully we only stayed one night, any more than that would be too much.
