Hotel Indigo Lima Miraflores by IHG

Exceptional hotel, perfectly located in Miraflores. Every member of staff is amazing. Food is spectacular and the cocktails. Huge bonus to be able to use Intercontinental facilities such as the rooftop pool. Room was very clean and comfortable

Coffee machine was not working initially but quickly fixed

The beds were so comfortable, one of the best sleeps I’ve ever had. The gym is also very good, all Technogym equipment which I would not necessarily expect from a hotel gym. The packed breakfast is very good - we had a full day tour which started before breakfast and the hotel gave us a bag with croissant, fruit, muffin and water packaged nicely.

The hotel mostly relies on the facilities of the Intercontinental hotel which is not advertised when you book. The only way to access Intercontinental is through the restaurant. This meant when we were having dinner, people walked through in their dressing gowns on the way back from the pool. Breakfast is also at the Intercontinental and is highly chaotic. It took 20 mins for a member of staff to offer coffee, which I had to get their attention to do and when I asked for milk they never returned. The guy who works the day shift in reception was very pleasant also out of his depth, he was struggling with simple requests so there was always a queue. We couldn’t understand his explanations about accessing the facilities through Intercontinental and it took half an hour for him to book us a table at the restaurant for dinner. The reception staff at other times were very good though. We also booked a city view room, which we didn’t get. We didn’t challenge this because it wasn’t clear any of the rooms would have a city view and we had already spent a long time at reception.

We really liked the bed and the cushions. I am usually not pointing that out but we slept very well maybe also because we were exhausted from our trip to machuu pichu and Cusco.

It all started that we did not have breakfast included which i initially I thought I would have as booking level 3 VIP automatically. Anyways that was not the problem I just wanted to share that the room was dirty see pictures. They did not even offered us a free breakfast or anything . They just sent someone to clean which is fine but since we just arrived it was completely inappropriate. We would have need to leave the room for 1 hour. In addition to that we wanted to do SPA nothing was available. It can happen but the cherry on the cake was that the pool which you can see on the website and on booking is part of the Intercontinental hotel which has a partnership. We founded very impudent to advertise that from an other hotel. We had to goo through three lobbies and an outdoor area to reach the elevator for going up to the pool. This was just very inconvenient. Anyways I picked that hotel because I read all good reviews and feedback. It might be our fault and also a mistake from our side but for the price and for a 5 star it was not worth it and quality price was very overpriced. I can highly recommend to pick the Ibtercontiental or a different hotel. I am usually not a person to leave bad reviews if not necessarily but we were very disappointed and angry Hof how we got treated and how they advertised themselves.
