We really enjoyed the view from the sun room and the house had several places where people could sit comfortably. The house is somewhat dated, but serviceable. The outdoor space was welcoming and well laid out. The kitchen was well equipped.

Although there is a pool, it wasn't clean or inviting. The dishwasher took a long time to run through and was not intuitive to operate.

The large house was as described on Booking.com, and fully adequate for our needs for a convenient, spacious, and charming stay above Napier City -- so close to the action for our drive to many Art Deco Events this week. As a couple of only 2 people, this property was much larger than our usual needs. We didn't use the downstairs bedrooms, etc...., or the pool, or that area. We first booked this large house, due to it being "Pet Friendly". But we decided not to bring our dog on this trip - and just kept our booking. It was a fabulous stay! Maybe we'll rent it out with friends for the festival next year?

The only issue was parking our new Mercedes down the property's driveway. Driving over the bump up and down the driveway loudly scrapped our car's undercarriage, so we were constantly worried about damage to the chassis. So we had to park up on the curved sidewalk - to load /unload, enter/exit our car for so many Art Deco Events that we attended in town every day in the week. Very inconvenient, since I'm a senior with bad knees, who had to walk up/down the steep trip to the property in long formal Gatsby costumes and high heels every day.... hoping to avoid passing cars on the inside curved roadway where we parked. We had our own car, but we also had to hire UBER a few times, to avoid the risk of losing our best street parking slot .... which positioned our car out of the line of a passing car on the hill's winding descent.

Huge house, lovely kitchen, bathroom and pool. So great to cool off in the summer heat. Great view from the upstairs room.

I would have preferred a better cooling option in the upstairs rooms - was way too hot up there.
