Avyanna Gulhi Beach Hotel

We had a wonderful stay at Avyanna Gulhi Beach Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our time on Gulhi Island. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. What made this stay special was the island itself. Unlike some of the busier tourist islands, Gulhi offers a much more peaceful and authentic Maldivian experience. As a local island with fewer tourists, we often found ourselves enjoying the beautiful beach with plenty of space and very few people around. The crystal-clear turquoise water and soft white sand were simply stunning. Having previously stayed in Maafushi, we appreciated the contrast. Maafushi is lively, bustling, and offers plenty of activities and excursions, while Gulhi is calmer and more relaxing. For us, Gulhi was the perfect place to slow down, unwind, and enjoy the natural beauty of the Maldives without the crowds. The location of Avyanna made it easy to enjoy everything the island has to offer, from peaceful beach walks and swimming to simply relaxing and taking in the amazing views. Thank you to the entire Avyanna team for making our stay so enjoyable. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quieter, more authentic Maldives experience while still enjoying excellent hospitality and a beautiful beach right on their doorstep.

Nothing that we dont like

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms, nice balcony with sea view. The staff is friendly and always helpful during the stay. Convenient pick up from the airport to Gulhi by speedboat ($30/per person/ one way), and then the harbour to/ from the hotel (arranged free of charge). Breakfast is tasty and with enough choices of salty and sweet variants We also tried some restaurants dishes for lunch and the quality of food exceeded our expectations. Towels provided for the beach, and free sun beds / umbrella available at Biking Beach if staying at the hotel (apparently from November there will be some a complimentary cost during high season to rent ) Beautiful sea view from the accessible terrace on the 4th floor All in all, we would highly recommend this hotel.

Our room was not extremely spacious for two people but ultimately comfortable. Also pillows comfort can be improved

Gulhi is a small, mostly locals' island, with a local rhythm. Perfect if you just want to relax. I think Avyanna is one of two hotels, and I would definitely stay there again.... if I wanted to just relax. My room had a lovely view, including sunrise from my bed. All staff were very helpful, and friendly. It's a very short walk to anywhere, including the swimming beach. The transfer to and from the ferry and welcome drink were nice touches.

There's a lot of building going on across the Maldives, so I don't think you can avoid it if you're interested in downfall time on the smaller, non resort islands. But that's no reflection on the hotel.

Der Strand ist sehr schön

Hotel soll von Mitte 2025 sein, sieht dafür aber schon relativ abgenutzt aus in den Zimmer, Risse in den Wänden etc. Wer ein großes Frühstücksbuffet erwartet liegt leider falsch , Toast Brot , Omelett und ein paar belgische Waffeln und Instant Kaffee. Meerblick ja aber leider nicht direkt vor dem Hotel da dort nämlich alles mit Sand aufgeschüttet wurde bis zum Wasser was so so 200-300 Meter sind . Wir wollten 2 Nächte bleiben sind aber nach der ersten abgereist da Gulhi leider nicht viel zu bieten hat außer einen schönen Strand
