Bailando Rooms

The nicest of the 18 hotels I’ve stayed at on this trip. By far. What I liked: Location, comfortable queen bed, spacious, very clean. Great shower, nespresso coffee, elevator access, sound proof windows. Quiet area of the palace. Beautiful view of the promenade/Split sigh. Our room had a kitchen, that included dishwashers fridge, microwave, stovetop etc. Relatively easy access to the property, considering what others would have to do. Use the silver(east gates). You can also store your luggage after your stay (at your own risk) in the common area. You need codes to get into the area so it felt safe

The access to property is under construction, I think, and there are huge holes in the boards that cross over to the entrance. Which is suspect aren’t part of the actual property. But when you arrive and get inside the property it’s beautiful. The only negative was I had asked two questions. One before arrival and one during our stay. And nobody answered them.

This was a great apartment right in the heart of the old town of Split. It was modern, clean, comfortable and well appointed with everything we needed for our stay including a fantastic view of the Riva area. Josip was great! He came to meet us at the apartment on our arrival to ensure we had everything we needed and showed us how everything worked. We were able to store our bags before our check-in time and also after checkout as we had an afternoon flight. We would highly recommend this apartment.

Everything except the difficulty we had finding it.

We had difficulty navigating to the actual door of the rooms. We used maps to take us there and we got to where it was and the maps said arrived but it was actually above us and we had no idea how to get in. It would have been helpful if we were met at the Promenade door to the building.

The location was perfect! Also the room was clean and very nicely designed. The entire area is very safe.

The person that met us at drop off and escorted us to our room wasn’t very welcoming. Also we had to drag our bags a long ways up many stairs after a day and a half of travel. Would have been nice if they had a cart to assist and if we had been told about this obstacle. The entrance area to the rooms is absolute trash. Old broken down footbridge with broken boards and literal heaps of trash for days. The entrance area is dark and has dangerous step that is hard to see at night. The room looks nice but isn’t functional, it’s too small and awkward for two people. On the first night I ran out of hot water. When I notified the property I was told that happens sometimes and too many people must have showered at once??? I took navy showers the rest of the trip, that’s does not meet my expectations in any way. We were provided one towel per person for 5 nights. When I asked for more I was told it’s not a hotel and I needed to ask with at least 24hr notice. They never brought us more. No water in room or available anywhere. They need to install an ice machine and water supply for guests. No housekeeping. They provided an espresso machine but only 2 pods for 2 people for 5 nights.!?!? Very low security. Main door doesn’t auto latch. Found open often during our stay. Also found the door to our floor from stair area appeared to have been kicked in and latch blocked with a screw?? Didn’t feel secure at all. Construction started at 7a and went all day with no warning in what sounded like the basement area. Jackhammers for 8+ hrs. They asked me to communicate with them through the booking app or email. Yet took a half day or more for replies if I even got a response. I was notified of three name changes from the time I booked the place until we got there. This does not install confidence in a property at all!
