Cambria Hotel Templeton - Paso Robles

We stayed at this hotel before and it’s convenient for us right off the freeway. We travel from Chico to Ventura often. Love having the restaurant and bar in the hotel so we can stop driving! Staff is always friendly.

We stay at Hamptons when we travel and they have the BEST pillows! Only suggestion 😀

Love the location. Love the bar and available restaurant. Lobby attractive. Parking availability was great. Like that it’s fairly new.

In the room the sliding door to bathroom sways and bangs unless handled very delicately. The first full day we were out until around 2 and there had been no maid service. I found the maid in hall and asked her first more coffee and creamer for next morning and I brought out two full trash cans that she emptied. She was friendly and offered few new towels. Never had full service entire week because they always waited until later in day when we wanted to relax in room before evening. That said, each time I went to hallway and asked maid for something they were always very nice and polite. Lastly, I did not like the only night stand between the beds. No drawers in it was very inconvenient and seemed a cheap way to furnish. The beds were only a 5 on comfort.

Clean room, barely enough parking

“Smart” thermostat is anything but - I could not figure out how to make it keep the room cool. I asked the front desk to fix it, but the technician was gone and the only solution was to change rooms, which we were not interested in doing. At 3am I searched for a video to show how to work the stupid thing. Found one but it was so complicated I gave up.
