Pekoe Calm Retreat

Staying here in your Pekoe trek is a no-brainer, it was a highlight of my whole Sri Lankan itinerary. The hosts are the loveliest couple who go out of there way to make you feel welcome after a day of hiking, with a nice private area to relax and a lovely home cooked meal. They are very kind and despite a slight language barrier we shared many laughs. The room is clean and has a warm shower so no complaints there either. Note that this accommodation is located around 20 minutes before the trail ends in the town. Apparently the owners have have had customers "stolen" by people in town, so keep an eye out for the location.

The room was ideal for a backpacker in that it was clean and functional. The hosts make the experience extra special with their kindness and cooking.

The owners were very welcoming and warm. Lovely location. Comfortable room.

The hosts are extremely kind and friendly and cook the most amazing food. The room is big and there is a hot shower as well, plus it’s just off the pekoe trail so it’s perfect for that. Thank you so much ❤️
