Aminess Vival Grand Azur Hotel

The hotel was nice. A bit dated but it was a great stop on our trip through Croatia. The food was good. The buffet had something for everyone.

The pool is not heated so was a bit cold in late September, otherwise there were lots of chairs.

Perfekte Lage, super Essen und tolles Team Wir hatten einen wirklich schönen Aufenthalt. Ein ganz großes Dankeschön geht an das Personal an der Rezeption und der Bar – der Service war hervorragend! Die Zimmer haben zwar einen etwas älteren Stil, sind aber absolut sauber und bestens gepflegt. Die Lage des Hotels ist der absolute Hammer und auch kulinarisch hat alles gepasst: Das Essen war extrem lecker. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt!

Speisesaal: Sehr voll und überlaufen. Die Tische stehen sehr eng zusammen und das grelle, neonweiße Licht erinnert eher an eine Zahnarztpraxis als an ein gemütliches Restaurant. Extrakosten: Schade war, dass sowohl der Parkplatz als auch die Strandliegen mit 20 € pro Tag extra berechnet werden. Hobbyraum: Der Raum mit Billard, Kicker und Tischtennis ist leider absolut runtergekommen. Kinderraum: Der Raum für Kleinkinder war immer geschlossen – besonders schade, da wir ihn gerade für unsere kleine Tochter dringend gebraucht hätten.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Senad at reception, who deserves a special mention. Having on-site parking was very convenient, and the hotel is just a short walk from Orebić. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the sea was beautiful and crystal clear. We also really appreciated the abundance of shade and the comfortable loungers. The first-row loungers with an umbrella cost an additional €20, but they are definitely worth it. They are also nicely spaced apart, which makes the experience even more relaxing.

The food selection could be better. We have stayed at hotels on the Adriatic coast in a similar price range where the food was noticeably better. Occasionally, a dish would be excellent, but overall, the quality was inconsistent. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday, this may not be the best choice. There was quite a lot of noise and many children around, which made it difficult to fully relax. The beach also became extremely crowded during the weekend. Since it is not private, guests from other hotels and nearby areas also use it. At times, the sea was so crowded that you had to walk quite far into the water, almost up to your neck, before finding enough space to swim comfortably. One minor issue was that the shower gel in our room was empty when we arrived. We informed the staff that same evening, but it took two full days to replace it. It was a little annoying, although this was the biggest issue we experienced during our stay. It certainly does not outweigh all the positive things, especially the friendliness of the staff.

The food was very good, with a variety of options. We wish there were more sugar-free options. Some food was not fresh but rather warmed up, as we experienced firsthand.

Although the rooms provided enough space, the beds and pillows were not comfortable, especially for someone with back problems. The beds were too soft, and the pillows were too high, which made sleeping painful. Many people who were not registered at the hotel were using the pool area, which made it super crowded. We only saw a lady from the hotel once kick out a group of teens from the pool area who were not staying at the hotel. The power went out a few times during our stay, and the AC was not working at those times, which made the rooms super hot. The hotel staff was very pleasant, in general.
