Great location giving a good feeling of remoteness while being easily accessible. Well equipped property with everything needed for a longer stay. The kayaks are a plus.

Everything! Highly recommended.
The island is beautiful. The cottage and other buildings are comfortable, and have everything you need.
We enjoyed sitting outside, fishing from the rowing boat, kayaking, picking bilberries, and lighting a wood fire to heat the water. It was too cold for swimming during our stay, but it would be a good place to swim, too.
The hosts are very friendly and helpful, and answer all your questions. They took us and all our luggage to the island and back in their bigger boat.
Nothing.
Just be aware that you need to use a boat with an electric motor to get to the mainland, so if you’re worried about this, it might be better to pick a cottage on the mainland. However, we loved being on an island.

We loved everything in Mönni - peace and quiet, great views and opportunities to do water sports and go fishing. The cottages were clean and comfortable. And the host couple was very friendly.
There was nothing we didn’t like.
