samana homestay was amazing because the air conditioning was incredible!! and this was so necessary in the island heat. not only that, but it also had a fridge (crucial for cold water) and water pressure was good. ketut was also a very kind man, he even arranged a taxi for us to the port for our next stop. and he also started the air conditioning before we got there so we could arrive to a cold room (which was amazing since we walked about 12 min in the blazing sun from mushroom beach). highly recommend this stay, would absolutely stay here again!

wifi could have been better (i would rely on your phone plan). but as we were there to disconnect and relax, this really wasn’t the biggest issue.

Ketut was a really nice and welcoming host.

If you want to be close to all the restaurants and shops I would prefer to stay at another place

Helpful kind staff picked me up and took me to ferry. Very affordable price. Plus no geckos and no bugs (besides some tiny ants but not bad). walkable to mushroom beach for good beach :)

The bathroom smells bad, no sheets on bed besides mattress cover & comforter, and kettle was too dirty to use. Also this one guy who rented me a scooter there gave me a bad scooter with a broken side view mirror and it didn’t steer right. Had some issues explaining I didn’t want the scooter and him arguing with me to pay for it still. He didn’t work at the property, but just something to be aware of if you rent a bike with them.
