Die Gartenanlage mit privatem Pool und sehr bequemen Liegen war für Ruhesuchende optimal. Hervorzuheben ist der bereitgestellte Frühstückskorb, und die sehr gute Ausstattung der Küche. Der nächste Strand und Restautants sind mit dem Auto in kürzester Zeit gut zu erreichen.

The villa itself is beautiful, modern and very spacious, and we really enjoyed staying there. The outdoor area is lovely and the private pool was a real highlight. It was a very pleasant place to relax during the day, especially when we decided to stay at the villa rather than go sightseeing. The kitchen is well equipped, the overall design is stylish, and the villa feels comfortable for a family. We also appreciated having a good amount of outdoor space and the possibility to eat outside. The location is ok if you want to explore the Heraklion area by car. Good beaches are around 15 minutes away, and Knossos, Heraklion and several inland villages and monasteries are all within easy driving distance. We also found the villa to be a good base for day trips to places such as Spinalonga, the south coast and the surrounding countryside.

What could be improved For a 9-night stay, the biggest disappointment was the lack of housekeeping. There was no cleaning service at all during our stay, and neither the towels nor the bed linen were changed. For a stay of this length, we would have expected at least one cleaning visit and fresh towels/sheets. The villa had only one shower, so when the drain became clogged it was a significant issue. We were asked to clean the drain ourselves, which we did not feel was appropriate, especially as this was the only shower available. We also found the storage space quite limited, particularly for a family staying for more than a few days. Privacy was another point. From the listing, we had expected more of a private-villa feeling, but the two villas are positioned quite close to each other. When using the pool or sitting outside for lunch, you can easily see and speak to the neighbours, so it did not feel as private as we had imagined. The villa faces east, which means the terrace gets strong sun very early in the morning. By around 08:00 it was already too hot for us to comfortably sit outside for breakfast. Some additional shade or a larger umbrella would make the outdoor area much more usable in the morning. Finally, the immediate area was not really to our taste. The villa is just outside Heraklion, close to a more built-up/industrial area and a nearby road. This is partly something we could have researched better before booking. There are good beaches within a short drive, but if you are looking for picturesque villages or a traditional Cretan atmosphere directly around the villa, this is probably not the best location. Overall The villa itself is very attractive and comfortable, with a beautiful pool and outdoor area, and we enjoyed many aspects of our stay. However, the lack of housekeeping, the issue with the only shower, limited privacy and the immediate surroundings meant the stay did not fully meet our expectations.

Sehr moderne, saubere Unterkunft mit traumhaft großem Pool. Die Gastgeberin war äußerst freundlich und ging auf individuelle Anfragen ein. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
