Kona Lunapule is centrally located in Kailua Kona, in the Island of Hawaii. It's just a short drive to local restaurants and shops along the coast of Ali’i Drive. This quaint complex features a communal pool and onsite parking. Upstairs you will find 205B; a quiet and comfortable 2-bedroom unit.
Bask in the warm natural sunlight that enters the living area through the lanai sliding doors. Enjoy views of the ocean while you lounge on the lanai. Sit back and drink a cool beverage as you watch the gorgeous coastal sunsets that Kailua Bay has to offer.
There is plenty of space to enjoy your breakfast, lunch, or dinner from the kitchen bar or the dining area. The kitchen comes equipped with cooking appliances and a dishwasher.
The primary bedroom has a California king bed and a full walk-in tub and shower. The guest bedroom has two twin size beds with a full bathroom. This unit comfortably sleeps four people.
Please note: This unit is upstairs and has no elevator and is not fully accessible for those with disabilities. While we also welcome children the lanai is NOT childproof. There is no AC but it has wonderful ocean breezes and fans to keep you cool.

Close to all amenities. Pool area great & cleaned twice a week. Beds were comfy. Needs knives that can cut more than butter. No AC is a problem as it’s too humid. Master bedroom never cools down. We also bought a light for the master.

The location was great. The apartment had all the things we needed to make a few meals at home and enjoy the evening. The pool was enjoyed by my son a few times.

The location is good. The unit itself is in need of upkeep. Prior reviewers commented on carpet stains and host replied they would be addressed, but the stains were still pretty gross. In addition, the upholstery was coming off the dining chairs and towels bar in master bath was broken. Those are both 1 hr fixes that reflect neglect more than anything. There was one 60w bulb in a bedside lamp to illuminate the entire master bedroom. Strangely, though we had 4 guests, there was only one washcloth and one hand towel per bathroom, though two bath towels were provided. I've never seen anything like that in the past! Silly and thoughtless!Worst of all was the lack of AC. I have stayed in places in Hawaii on the Kona coast without AC, in fact that is the standard in many places, if they are situated to catch a breeze. This unit is in the building more inland of the two buildings on the property and the doors and windows are on the north and south of the building. Onshore breezes flow from west to east so even with the numerous fans all running all the time and leaving the locking screen door secured with the solid door open for the entire stay, the lack of actual breeze made several evenings too hot for decent sleep. The unit was equipped with beach chairs and umbrella and a cooler. Boogie boards would have been a nice touch. There was a vacuum and a mop, but no broom, also kind of odd.Over all, we would not return to this unit.
