The Space:
Cityside Big Mountain Lodge is the perfect spot for your Whitefish Montana getaway. This 4100 square foot Scandinavian style home is located on a beautiful 1 acre wooded lot and is close to everything Whitefish has to offer. Let's take a look at this amazing property . . .

As you walk in the front door one of the first things you notice is the stained glass sconces and windows and the very open and expansive layout of the main floor. This home has plenty of space for the entire family to spread out, and then some! There are 3 tables for dining with chairs for 20 guests and additional seating at the bar. This large home has 5 bedrooms and sleeps 15 guests comfortably (including the sofa sleeper in the living room). There are 3 full bathrooms as well with the main bedroom on the second level having a full ensuite bathroom with dual sinks, walk-in shower and jacuzzi tub. The upper level main bedroom has a private staircase up to the room which has a king sized bed, large smart TV, gas fireplace, private balcony and full ensuite bathroom. There is also a large area off the bedroom between the bathroom which has a queen over queen bunk bed, and also in this area is a large walk in closet and private access to a walk-out deck. The 3 other bedrooms are located on the other side of the house and have queen beds, smart TV's and share a full bathroom. The sauna is located in the hallway between these bedrooms and is very simple to operate (please follow the instructions for the sauna listed on the wall next to the sauna door).
The main level of this home has multiple living spaces with absolutely comfortable furnishings and plenty of seating for everyone. This area of the home has so many amazing amenities, including wood burning fireplace, huge wall-mounted smart TV, wet bar with seating and 2 doors leading out to the amazing backyard and patio. The private backyard of this home will not disappoint either and will most likely be where you spend most of your time on those beautiful Montana summer days. There is a deck area off the side of the house with a BBQ grill and hot tub along with a small path up to a seating area with party lights and fire pit. This house really does have it all!
Cityside Lodge is nestled at the base of Big Mountain and just minutes away from the historic town of Whitefish. If you enjoy shopping, this is the place for you! There are many Clothing, Souvenir and Antique shops for you to enjoy. Take pleasure in some of the finest restaurants, bars, breweries, and distilleries that the Flathead Valley has to offer! There are fun events including music, theater, and festivals year-round! City Beach at Whitefish Lake is also only 10 minutes away! You have easy access to spectacular hiking, mountain biking, golfing, water sports, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, and all the Flathead Valley has to offer! Whitefish is home to beautiful Whitefish Mountain Resort! The ski resort is well known for a pleasant variety of runs, short waits in line, and for its consistently good snow conditions, on average 300 inches a year! Praised in National Ski magazine as the #3 place to ski in the country! When the snow melts, Whitefish Mountain Resort becomes home to thrilling zip lines and an alpine slide, world-class downhill and cross-country mountain biking, and the unique Walk in the Treetops. Pets Welcome! Pets (maximum 2) are welcome at Cityside Lodge, however pets are required to be on a leash when being taken outside of the home. Pet deposit - $125 each. Pet owners will be responsible for any damage caused by the pet. All dogs must be crated when left alone in the home. No dogs allowed on furniture please. After booking, contact customer service for deposit payment.
You must be 25 years or older to rent this property. Maximum occupancy at all times is 15 guests and 3 vehicles max unless otherwise approved. Please come and have a good time, but be aware that behavior that is disrespectful or disruptive will result in forfeiting the remainder of your stay. Outside quiet hours: 10pm-8am. No parties. No fireworks. No smoking or pets are allowed on the property.
*Important note regarding Glacier National Park - vehicle reservations are required for park entry from 6:00 AM until 3:00 PM from mid-May until late September.

This house is…so interesting. The living space is great and open. Some things to note (especially if you’re traveling with children/toddlers like we were: 1. Every bedroom has a skylight that you cannot cover so bed time and wake up time are very reliant on the sun. 2. There are several sets of stairs (2-3) around the first floor living space so we had to be constantly cautious of that for the toddlers 3. The temperature control was tricky 4. The beds are on the smaller side 5. The layout of the house is pretty wonky with two separate wings of rooms. 6. I would argue there aren’t enough bathrooms for the number of people but we made it work7. The bathtub in the shared bathroom was not at all accessible for anyone with mobility issues or small children 8. The location is on a busy road, about 45 minutes from the West entrance for Glacier National Park 9. Great location for Whitefish which was a fun town to explore

Big house with plenty of space to spread out. Quick responses if we had any questions. Outdoor space could really use some more attention given the cost of the property rental. Hot tub was new and clean, definitely enjoyable. Very close to Whitefish and an easy drive to Glacier. Thanks for a good stay!

A very difficult property to describe. Large and spacious but in a very sprawling manner. A hodgepodge of rooms. The kitchen was large and easy for 3 or more people to function in, but the cabinets were dated and cumbersome to use. Again, plenty of space and storage capacity but dated and without a disposal. The dining room was huge and the downstairs living rooms could accommodate many guests. The downstairs bathroom was quite plain with a lower end door - adequate but and in need of updating. The upstair suites were poorly designed. The master suite had touches of style/charm, but the bathroom area was very narrow and without a privacy door between the master bedroom and the connecting bedroom in the suite. The master bedroom in other upstairs suite was open visa via a veranda to the lower living room which seemed quite unnecessary and limited privacy. There was also no air conditioning in that room and it was uncomfortably warm. The two connecting bedrooms in that suite were decent and used window air conditioning. The bathroom was adequate, but there were small swinging doors for the toilet room, which seemed odd. The jacuzzi was good although all four of the head rests were missing which was disappointing. As to the outside grounds, some nice flowers were scattered about, but none of the many fountains were working. It was obvious there was much deferred maintenance - of note in that regard some of the many noxious weeds on the front side of the house were 5 feet tall. Parking was good as was the location.
