Our family of 16, eight adults and eight children (17mths-11 years), enjoyed time at the Yellow House. The setting was beautiful & pleasant throughout the day. The wide variety of activities available for young and old kept everyone entertained and happy. The proximity of the house to the many wonders of Sintra and the beach was perfect for our purposes and some of us walked or ran to the beach on the nice foot/bike path directly across the street. We paid the steep price of €245 to heat the pool thinking it would make it more enjoyable during the unseasonably cool days of our stay and it did. We were surprised to learn upon arriving that the pool has no “coverage with child protection” as the listing states. The covered outdoor eating area for 20+ was one of the things we enjoyed the most. Having two kitchens and a third refrigerator outdoors was very helpful for keeping the hungry masses fed and refreshed with beverages. The dish & utensil supplies were adequate for our numbers. Both stoves were small and challenging to use which slowed meal preparation.
The many bedrooms and bathrooms were ideal for our family, including the attic loft. The sleeping areas had been thoughtfully arranged for the demographics of our group.
If you have a large group which enjoys the outdoors and/or a group with varied ages, such as ours, I think you, too, will enjoy this house.

Elena gave us a warm welcome.
We could contact her and Paulo if it was necessary.
The house was clean and had everything we needed.
We had a great time in the garden and swimmingpool and the children enjoyed the playhouse and the playground.

We had a fantastic break at this property for a 40th birthday. Accomodation was spacious with hoards of activities to keep us entertained. Hosts were fantastic with a warm welcome offering advice on the area and responded quickly to any queries.
