Awarded 4-star Meublé de Tourisme status, this former 18th-century silk farm invites you to an exceptional getaway between Toulouse and Albi, in the heart of the Pays de Cocagne, known as the Little French Tuscany.

Behind its sandstone and red-brick walls, Domaine de Bertalay reveals a warm atmosphere where every detail has been designed to preserve its authenticity: terracotta floors, old parquet, period furniture, and sunlit spaces.
Outside, enjoy a 5,000 m² garden, dotted with fruit trees and cozy spots for relaxation: shaded terraces, sun loungers, and convivial tables. The emerald-green private pool promises refreshing swims under the Tarn sunshine or beneath the stars. The large terrace with an Italian-style balcony offers a breathtaking view of the plains and is perfect for al fresco dining and long summer evenings.

The house, spacious and naturally cool even in the height of summer, is organized around two large central hallways, distributing rooms across two levels:

Ground Floor:
• A vast 60 m² living area with an open kitchen fully equipped: a 7-burner cooking range, wood-fired oven, two classic ovens, and a culinary library of 200 books.
• A convivial dining room with a large 2.2-meter table.
• An intimate lounge, equipped with a grand piano, a smart TV, and a collection of films.
• The Andalusian Room, with a private bathroom and independent access to the garden.

Upstairs:
• The Modiste Room (30 m²) with a private bathroom.
• The Portrait Room, facing south, with a double bed, a single bed, and a connecting bathroom.
• The Bird Room, bright and airy, with a private bathroom.
• The Butterfly Room, smaller, with a connecting bathroom.
• A large library for children and adults.

A Stay in Complete Serenity

Here, you are at home: full access to the house, the garden, and the private pool. Musicians can enjoy the grand piano and a rich collection of sheet music. Pets are welcome.
Located in a peaceful hamlet, the estate is just 3 km from Lavaur and its shops. 100 meters away, the Bertalay Bakery will delight you with its wood-fired bread and pastries.
