We had a wonderful stay- the property is charming with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a beautiful lounge with windows over the pool and gardens. The area is quiet and easy walking distance to beautiful Vence. The large swimming pool is a real bonus. We had excellent weather and the upstairs bedrooms are warm for sleeping but all rooms have fans and overall the house stayed comfortable as it is so large and solidly built.

The house and location were exactly as we had hoped, and the weather in Provence was perfect. The house was very clean and tidy, and also very comfortable. We had been given good clear instructions about how to find it, and Francoise (the representative of the owners) was there to meet us. We enjoyed the pool and the garden every day. It was very pet friendly. The location was also very peaceful and quiet. I mention the following things only so that the owners are aware. They are small things and IN NO WAY spoiled our holiday. The curtain track in the downstairs bedroom came off the wall early on, and was not fixed though Francoise sent someone to look at it. There is a pane of glass missing in the kitchen window: Francoise did not know about it but thought the owners did. The upstairs loo caused a little concern, and Francoise sent a plumber quickly who found a small blockage in the garden: the owner was informed and we explained that it was not a problem. The DVD player did not work, and the owner immediately arranged for a new DVD player which worked perfectly: thank you. The smoke alarm outside the downstairs bedroom went off early one morning for no apparent reason: it didn't happen again. A light bulb in the tall wicker lamp in the sitting room exploded on 20 Sept: no obvious reason and no damage. We replaced it with a bulb from another lamp.We all enjoyed our family holiday in Lou Paradou 100% and would happily return.

Lovely, characterful, and well equipped old house. Lots of comfortable and beautiful places to relax, inside and outside the house. We enjoyed the pool, the garden, the walk into Vence, and the wine left for our arrival! Really charming! Local tips: had a very special dinner at La Table du Cantemerle, which is very nearby, and a lovely lunch at Cote Jardin in Vence. We also walked up to the Source of the Riou, which was a hairy drive to get to the parking, but a beautiful spot. We came to Vence to see the Chapelle Matisse, which we were able to walk to, and was worth the trek across the valley.

The property is wonderful - very comfortable, interesting, and spacious, and very French (ie chic, lovely pictures of the cote d'azur, outside tables). It also has lovely additions including a decent sized private pool, a table tennis table, plenty of parking. Two other points: the location is superb, within easy reach of Vence, St Paul de Vence, Nice and the cote d'azur; and the contact with owners David and Elisabeth, and their housekeeper Francoise, was easy and welcoming.
