The convenient location makes it just minutes away from all the High Country’s most famous attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Appalachian State University. If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. Relax and enjoy the slow pace of the mountains and the fresh air or be adventurous and go hiking, fishing, biking, or sight-seeing. The place was well designed, clean, well appointed with the items needed for getaway, and the location was excellent. I will say that if you rent the Seven Devils location, allow me to be the last one to embarrass myself trying to open the gate to the dumpster to dispose of our garbage. We got it undone, door opened after a bit of a struggle only to find that all you had to do was walk around the gate, as it is a single wall, no enclosure. Ha! We had a good laugh at ourselves over that one!

It was nice. The views were beautiful. The back doors faced the mountains, and it was worth the view.

The condo was very nice. Perfect for our stay. The only thing that was odd was trying to figure out the heat and air. And when we first got there, the water was turned off. Which we figured out very quickly. Other than that, it was a great stay and we would stay there again. Also, there are very curvy roads to get to the condo. So if you are staying when it is snowing, you will need chains.

The condo has a great view of Grandfather Mountain from the balcony, perfect for happy hour. If you plan to cook the kitchen is well equipped. Settling in would be better if the cleaners or property manager turned on the hot water before guests arrived. The condo is located up a corkscrew road and most restaurants are 15-30 minutes away so bring your own coffee. The sheets and pillows should be replaced. Good price and easy check in at the property rental office.
