Beautiful villa with a private pool in the town of Kournas, Crete.
The house has been renovated in 2023, with interiors that offer all amenities for a peaceful, comfortable stay.
Villa Mirage offers 3 double bedrooms to comfortably accommodate up to 6/7 people. It is ideal for a vacation with family or friends.
Outside, there is a lovely private pool on the first floor terrace (heatable upon request); on the ground floor there is an outdoor dining area furnished with a table and chairs. Less than 5 km away is Lake Kournas, where you can rent small row boats and explore the lake’s clear waters; take lovely walks; or eat at one of the many restaurants. The sea (free access beaches and beach club facilities) is just 6 km away from the property.
At guests' disposal: private pool (4 x 2,5 meters; depth: 1meter) located on the first floor terrace ; with at least one week’s notice the pool can be heated ( up to 28 degrees) upon request for an extra fee; 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms; furnished patio with dining table for al fresco dining; sun terrace with shower and barbecue ; washing maschine and dryer,Wifi internet; air conditioning.
Distances: Kournas (bar, bakery and tavernas): 50 meters; Lake Kournas (shops and tavernas) 5 km, shops of all kinds 4,5 km,Peristeras beach (sand beach) 6 km, Georgioupoli (shops of all kinds and beaches) 9 km, Rethymno 25 km, Almyrida 32 km, Chania 47 km, airport 53 km, Heraklion 103 km, the famous Knossos Palace 104 km.

Ground floor (accessible only from outside, not connected inside to the rest of the villa): double bedroom (air conditioning) with shower in the bedroom, private bathroom with shower and washing machine.
The following might be to be paid extra: Pool heating.

Just got back from our holiday in Kournas and our stay at Villa Mirage. Wow, what a stay this was! This villa is really superb! Not only well equipped but this fact also done in absolute good style and taste! Everything is in order and thus will make your stay an unforgetable one; not in the least due to the very friendly and guest orientated hosts who made us with their attitude more than welcome in their villa. They provide you too with tips etc about what to do in this area of Crete.

Our stay in the villa Mirage was excellent. The hosts were very acommodating and as flexible as possible regarding our arrival and leaving times. The villa was cleaned twice per week and was decorated tastefully and with all modern amenities while still fitting into the local mountain villiage setting. Especially the host's hospitability with attention to detail made our stay in Kournas memorable. The little village has 3 good taverns and considering that in combination with the pool on the roof terrace, you wouldn't have to leave the house to have a good day! However, the location is great to explore several beaches within a 10-15 minutes drive, as well as lake Kournas or go hikes into the mountain area . It was easy to reach within 1 hour from Chania (inkl. their airport) and also Rethymno was only half an hour drive away. So yes, you need a car, but with a car the location is really good.

The photos are stunning and the place is even better. A beautiful property that is so well looked after and clearly a labour of love from the owners rather than just a business. There was plenty of room for our family seven and a nice layout to the place. Every little detail throughout had been well considered and everything was of a really high spec. Well above and beyond what we could have hoped. The pool on the roof a great addition to take the edge off the Cretan summer. The owners personally greeted us, were very friendly and made us feel so welcome. Can’t thank them enough for their hospitality. Kournas is lovely too. Very small and peaceful but still has three good tavernas within about a minute’s walk from the property. Would highly recommend to anyone.

WOW!! Most amazing home experience and incredible hosts we have ever met. The villa was beautiful and spotless, super clean and stunning!! Katerina and george are the kindest friendliest hosts who made us feel like home. They gave us many recommendations, offered to clean the villa every few days, and gave us welcoming and goodbye gifts! Would recommend 10/10 Best regards, Sylvia & Borgar
