The George is a wonderful family home, offering stylish and spacious interiors. The accommodation would be ideally suited to families or friends and is set in a lovely quiet and private setting with an enclosed garden, ideal for children. The open plan sitting and dining room with bifold doors out to the garden offers a tasteful and relaxing space for dining in the summer months. Cosy up by the log burning fire on those chillier evenings with a glass of wine after a day of exploring on the beach. The George is a beautiful and peaceful spot for a coastal break in Kent.
The George in Walmer sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms; 1 king size bedroom with an en-suite, 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom. Suitable for families or friends. Underfloor heating throughout downstairs and radiators upstairs. All bedrooms have blackout blinds.

Open plan kitchen/dining room, table to seat 6-8 and breakfast bar with two stools. The kitchen is fully equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, double oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and ample storage. There is no coffee machine but there is a cafetiere available.
Sitting Room
Sitting room has a large corner sofa, wall mounted TV, log burner, armchair and decorative lighting.

There is a large table and chairs round the back of the house in a private setting, perfect for dining outside on those warmer evenings.

Towels and linen are provided - no beach towels.
All logs for the wood burner can be provided for an additional cost - optional when booking.
Children must be accompanied by an adult when using the climbing frame, and do so at own risk.

A really lovely house that comfortably fit a family of 8. Big spacious rooms and comfortable beds with high quality linen and towels. House has a good flow and is well laid out. Excellent weather meant we were able to have full use of all the outdoor seating areas and furniture including the games provided. A twenty minute walk into Deal or a short bus ride passes playing fields paddling pool and adventure golf. Deal itself is a pretty town especially around the old quarter and lots of independent shops and cafes in the high street. Small negatives fridge very small for a big group- sofa coming to the end of its life but usable- yellow chair and garden cushions would benefit from a deep clean also a normal size fish slice a necessity Nothing that actually spoiled our stay and would highly recommend this property to future guests you will not be disappointed

A very comfortable, clean and spacious property with great outdoor space incl parking. Love the open plan kitchen diner. We had a wonderful stay. Our only negative comments were regarding the sofa, lack of fans and no coffee machine! The brown/gold sofa lets the living space down. It’s overly soft/low/deep and always looks messy due to the number of large velour type cushions. We found it very uncomfortable.
It was very hot on arrival. After several days of hot weather the bedrooms in the roof were unbearably hot. Appreciate the temperatures were extreme but given 2 of the 3 bedrooms upstairs have one window which only opens a couple inches, fans would be advisable/welcomed. The kitchen is well equipped bar a coffee machine which is very unusual for such a spacious kitchen.
We hope these comments are seen as constructive because as mentioned we had a lovely time and liked the property. We would recommend.

The George is ideally located for our needs during our stay in Deal each Spring. Ample parking provision for several vehicles in secure surrounds. The only issue with the key fobs to access the gates and the house is there aren't enough of them. An additional set or two would be helpful. On saying this, this is our only gripe. The house is always presented well, it's clean, tidy and welcoming with a basket of goodies and other provisions laid out on arrival. The rooms are spacious and comfortable throughout and the garden areas are great for entertaining on a nice warm evening. A place well worth considering when weighing up the other options in the near vicinity, we highly recommend.

The George was clean, comfortable, and well presented. The beds were very comfy, and the shower was excellent, although the hot water wasn’t quite sufficient for a group of seven adults. We visited in March, so we didn’t make use of the garden due to the weather, but it could benefit from some maintenance as there were quite a few weeds and the furniture needed cleaning. The house itself was very warm—perhaps a bit too warm for our liking—and we found it difficult to adjust the heating despite following the instructions. The location is great, about a 10-minute walk to the beach and 25 minutes to Deal. Overall, I would recommend it.
