Our cosy house is situated in the peaceful village of Gwinear, on top of a hill surrounded by farmland. There are distant views of St Ives and the bay from the garden and first floor of the house. The nearest beaches are a 7 minute drive away (3 miles). At one end of St Ives Bay there are vast sandy beaches with sand dunes and at the other there are the National Trust beaches of Godrevy and Gwithian with sand, rocks, lighthouse and a seal colony. There is excellent surfing with lessons, boards and wet suits for hire. The village store/newsagents and a pitch and putt course are one mile away. There are plenty of places to visit nearby. Picturesque St Ives and breathtaking St Michael’s Mount are only 10 miles away. You will also have easy access to beauty spots on the Lizard, Mousehole (16 miles), Porthcurno (20 miles), Lands End (20 miles)and Cape Cornwall (20) Zennor (13) The Eden Project is about 40 minutes drive. Penzance is (12 miles), Mousehole (16 miles). There are three golf courses within a 30 minutes drive.

A group of friends down for a sports competition in Redruth. Communication from the owner was fantastic with any questions answered very quickly. We didnt really explore the area but the location was exactly what we needed for getting to Redruth. Facilities in the house were good and it was very comfortable.

Truly beautiful and spacious cottage, everything was just right. If we return to Cornwall, we would certainly stay here again if possible. Chrissy was very easy to approach through VRBO, all information was given to us before our stay. Sue's just a lovely lady, introduced herself and was only across the road if we needed anything. Which we didn't as everything we needed was at the cottage. Thank you Chrissy and Sue
