HONOKEANA COVE #217
Start your morning with coffee overlooking the cove, spend an afternoon snorkeling or relaxing by the pool, and return to your covered lanai for dinner with an ocean view. Honokeana Cove #217 is a renovated upstairs corner condo with two enclosed bedrooms, an open mezzanine sleeping area, and two bathrooms, accommodating up to seven guests.
YOUR ISLAND HOME
Vaulted ceilings, extra windows, and an open living area give the condo a bright, airy feel. Redesigned by ADC Maui and renovated in December 2020, the interior combines a custom hickory staircase, updated bathrooms, thoughtfully selected furnishings, and island-inspired artwork.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher and opens to the living and dining areas, making it easy to prepare meals and spend time together. The indoor dining table seats six, while comfortable living-room seating and a smart TV offer a place to unwind.
Sliding glass doors lead to the oversized private covered lanai, with a dining table for four and additional lounge seating overlooking the grounds and cove.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
Main level: Two enclosed bedrooms and one bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Mezzanine: An open sleeping area with three twin beds and a second bathroom with a shower.
The mezzanine overlooks the living area and is reached by the interior staircase. It is additional sleeping space, not an enclosed third bedroom, and sound carries between the two levels.
ENJOY HONOKEANA COVE
Watch for Hawaiian green sea turtles, enjoy snorkeling when ocean conditions allow, or relax on the oceanfront lawn. The cove has a rocky shoreline rather than a sandy beach, and water access may be unsuitable during rough surf.
Shared amenities include a heated oceanfront pool, three gas barbecue grills overlooking the cove, and lawn seating among tropical landscaping. Coin-operated laundry rooms are located at both ends of the complex.
The low-rise setting offers a relaxed alternative to a large resort, with nearby beaches, coastal walks, golf, shopping, and dining around Napili and Kapalua. Several beaches and restaurants are within walking distance; a rental car provides more flexibility for exploring West Maui.
GOOD TO KNOW
Cooling: The condo does not have air conditioning. Ceiling fans and adjustable louvered windows provide airflow, with cooling dependent in part on the trade winds. Indoor temperatures can be warmer when breezes are light.
Stairs: Stairs are required to reach this upstairs condo. An additional interior staircase leads to the mezzanine and second bathroom.
Noise: The larger main-level bedroom faces the parking area and Lower Honoapiʻilani Road, so some traffic and parking noise may be heard.
Parking: Complimentary on-site parking is limited to one vehicle. Spaces are unassigned, and the property’s parking pass must be displayed. Electric-vehicle charging is not permitted.
Laundry: Laundry facilities are shared and coin-operated; there is no washer or dryer inside the condo.
Pool and shoreline: The shared pool is not enclosed by a fence. Children need close supervision around the pool and ocean.
Everyday conveniences: Complimentary Wi-Fi, a smart TV, and beach towels are provided.

The recent remodel was very well done. The place was very clean. No bugs. Good beaches nearby and great snorkeling. Because there is no AC, you need to open the windows to stay cool, and the unit is on the road side of the complex next to the parking lot. It can get noisy at times, but in terms of value for the location, it is a good place.

We had an amazing stay and the property was fantastic, the unit was nicer and better laid out than many others we saw. Check in and check out was easy. The condo community gathers in the afternoons/evenings. The snorkeling was out of this world. I have never seen so many turtles in a single snorkel (and multiple trips made each day). Would definitely return to this complex and this unit. We do wish there was a hot tub…

Super host! Excellent communication! We contacted Graham before the VRBO reservation window because we were planning our 50th anniversary trip with our family. He held the days open for us & offered to email us when it was time to reserve with VRBO. Shortly before our stay he sent us a very comprehensive guide of things to do, restaurants, groceries, snorkeling gear rental, etc. The property access, check in & check out instructions were easy to follow. The unit was roomy & well appointed for a group of seven. The location perfectly situated to enjoying snorkeling, boogie boarding, swimming & walking the coastal trail without having to get in the car.
