The lower-level game room doubles as a TV room by day and an additional sleeping space at night, thanks to its sleeper sofa, giving the home a flexible sixth sleeping area for your group. Surrounded by evergreens and Big Sky peaks, outdoor living is a dream, whether you’re firing up the BBQ on the main deck in warmer months or soaking in the hot tub beneath the pines. Air conditioning makes this chalet an especially comfortable choice for summer stays, too. As part of our Platinum Collection, Homestead Chalet 6 combines mountain luxury with the comfort and convenience you want in a vacation home.
Big Sky’s Mountain Village is just minutes away, with incredible skiing, resort amenities, and endless outdoor adventures close at hand. This neighborhood is known for its excellent early- and late-season ski access, making it a great base for getting the most out of the mountain whenever conditions allow. Ski Access:
Located adjacent to the White Otter lift, getting to and from the home via ski or snowboard is a breeze. Homestead 6 uses the Rose Bud Access Trail located directly behind the home or has the option to use the White Otter access. Both options lead to White Otter chair lift's loading point below the home. The anticipated opening date for White Otter lift is December 16, but the lift may open earlier in the season depending on snow conditions. The lift typically closes in mid-April, prior to resort closing. The property is not ski-in/out unless White Otter Lift is open. Please inquire for details.
Ski Out:
Step off the rear deck of the home and walk a short distance (20 yards) to the Rosebud Trail. Go skiers right and cross over the bridge, following the access trail to the loading area for the White Otter Chairlift. Option 2 is to use the White Otter Access. This requires walking out of the driveway, turning right and walking up to the access point next to Claim Jumper 16. Approximately 50-60 yard walk. The ski out does have a few flat areas that will be more difficult for snowboarders and young children. (Green access)
Ski In:
From the top of Swift Current, ski Jay Walk to Lower Morning Star. Once on Lower Morningstar, ski past the first set of Powder Ridge signs and take a left at the SECOND set of Powder Ridge signs. Follow the signs towards the White Otter access. Once on White Otter Access, immediately exit the trail to the left next to Claim Jumper 16 to access your rental prior to crossing the White Otter Access Bridge. (Green access)
