We had a great time on the property. It was close enough that my sister and family were able to come for the evening and grill out, swim, and hang out by the lake. The property was lovely though I must have missed the detail about the stairs. The house was generally quite clean.

Perfect lakeside cabin , loved the dock and the privacy . Really enjoyed taking the kayaks out first thing in the morning. Very clean and plenty of linens . Nice new bathroom. Smoke alarm very sensitive.

The cottage is situated in a perfect location. It is quiet and serene. We enjoyed sitting on the dock in the mornings, and on the covered porch when it rained. We walked in the mornings and it was pleasant, as the road was not busy. We saw a lot of birds, including an American Eagle soaring past the cottage. It is located close to some wineries. Sheldrake Point Winery is a little over a mile down the road - our favorite on Cayuga. We visited Cornell Lab of Ornithology which was only about a 45 minute drive.
A few suggestions to improve the rental - replace outdoor grill and the toaster. Add another air conditioner downstairs. Put a blind in the upstairs window so people walking down the steps cannot see in. Also, it appears the owner has issues with carpenter bees.
We were surprised by an exterminator one morning at 7AM while we were enjoying coffee on the porch. He was not informed there were guests, and we were not informed of his coming. He sprayed the sides of the house while we were there and was going to come back to spray the porch.
