Everything was clean! The house was a great layout for our group.

Everything was in perfect order. A fully stocked kitchen. Could have used a pantry to put my own food. That is not a complaint just a suggestion. We had some chilly nights and the heat felt good. They provided beautiful dry wood for the fireplace.

Jim & Susan communicated well during our stay. Unfortunately the dryer was broken from when we arrived until our last day so we had to go to the laundromat & pay to do our laundry (along with 2 hours). In the past at other VRBO’s we have stayed there was compensation for this but this did not happen. The laundry is in the basement which is a bit creepy in this old farmhouse! The house is renovated but in an older antique farmhouse style. Also the bathrooms both need to be updated. The only shower is very, very small & tight. It is stained & the doors are a bit difficult to open & close. Ladies cannot shave in there. The upstairs has a tub with a handheld shower spray so not convenient. The kids (young adults & teens) loved Bar Harbor & Acadia but near Brooksvilke is mostly small towns with antique shops & bookstores so they were bored around town. Overall the stay was fine & communication was good. The place was clean but with all the antique things around the house there is dust & we have allergies so this is good for others to know. Also there is no air conditioning. WiFi was good!
