This beautifully decorated home with its spectacular views is unlike any other in Big Bear Lake. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac on Inspiration Point at the far reaches of Boulder Bay, the views are breathtaking from every direction. Expect an 'over the top' experience when staying in this home. The unique living space offers a cozy and comfortable cabin feeling. The beautiful full round hand peeled logs, the hardwood floors, granite counter tops and comfortable furniture boasts a true mountain home experience. The outdoor patio with fireplace is where you will probably spend much of your time enjoying the view and relaxing as you listen to the mountain sounds next to a crackling fire. The lower patio is a perfect place to relax in an Adirondack chair with your feet up as you watch the 'Pirate Ship' or 'Big Bear Queen' tour boats go by -- have your camera ready! If you are a sun worshiper, you'll enjoy the 3rd patio lakeside, or better yet, go ahead and walk out onto the dock to be even closer to all of the lake action -- fishing, boating, boarding, tubing, kayaking and swimming. As evening approaches, have your camera ready again because you will see some of the most beautiful sunsets ever.
Visit The Village with all of its unique shops and quaint restaurants. Take advantage of countless hiking and biking trails and other attractions. Whatever you like, we are sure you will make wonderful memories at 'The Grand on Inspiration Point' in Big Bear Lake -- Southern California's only Four Season getaway.

Our stay at The Grand was nothing short of spectacular! As former Big Bear vacation homeowners, we had admired this beautiful property for years while passing by on our boat. Experiencing the breathtaking lake views from inside the home was a truly unforgettable treat.The home is absolutely stunning—beautifully furnished, meticulously maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a relaxing getaway. Every detail reflects the pride and care that has gone into creating such a welcoming retreat. The panoramic views of Big Bear Lake are simply magnificent and made every morning and evening feel special.Barb was an exceptional host. She was warm, responsive, and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. It was obvious she genuinely cares about her guests and wants them to have the best possible experience.Our family made memories that we will cherish for years to come. We booked The Grand for our family vacation. My wife, my two adult daughters and my two adult sons. We are a blended family for 18 years and our boys are 24 and daughters 21. There was plenty of room for us and the home was set up very well. The views are amazing, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook and make whatever you want. The downstairs game room was a ton of fun, the pool table and the big tv allowed us to play games and relax. We rented kayaks that were delivered to our private dock and we had a blast just hopping in from our own dock and kayaking around the lake. We also fished right off the dock and caught and released a few rainbow trout. The Jacuzzi was the best in the evenings after kayaking and then gathering around the amazing gas fire pit capped off our days. The views from this home are unbelievable. being right on the tip of the point gives wide sweeping views you can never get tired of. We did have one issue, the owner responded immediately, the person to resolve it came in 20 minutes and had it fixed in 10 more min. That's some of the best customer service I have experienced. Also, the location is perfect for short drives into the village to the best restaurants and shopping Big Bear has to offer. All in all, we are definitely going to rent The Grand again for our family vacation. We booked 5 nights and wished we could have stayed 5 more. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The pictures just don’t do justice to this beautiful lake home. We had the best time. The house is well appointed with everything you will need to make your stay easy and comfortable. We loved being on the deck and dock watching the boats go by. Also, if you are a lover of the Big Bear resident Eagles, Shadow and Jackie, we saw them fly by every day at least once. Mainly in the morning fishing right in front of us. Barb was a pleasure to work with and we hope to stay here again next time! If you are even thinking about staying here…Book it! You won’t be disappointed.

While the property has lovely views, there are a few significant drawbacks. Only one of the four bedrooms (the dark one in the basement with no attached bath) had true curtains, while the other three bedrooms (including the master) had skylights or sheers, making it difficult to sleep past sunrise. The kitchen was disappointing—lacking sharp knives, with poor-quality pots and pans, and an outdated stove with malfunctioning gas burners and no oven light. The bathrooms are quite dark, and the outside jacuzzi, while nice to have, has seen better days. Many lightbulbs were out or not installed at all, and despite the landlord's assurance that they would be fixed, nothing changed during our stay. Additionally, the carpeting is very worn (looked dirty) and becoming unseamed in many spotsThe home itself felt dated, which contributed to the overall impression. On the plus side, the beds were very comfortable, and the numerous fireplaces were a nice feature. You do need to bring your own firewood, which we did. However, our sleep was definitely disturbed—an issue the homeowner surprisingly had no prior knowledge of and suggested I should have brought sleep masks, which I found quite odd. Additionally, having to haul your own trash in your car to an off-site location was very unpleasant, especially considering the rental price.Overall, the views are beautiful, but the home requires better maintenance and some updates to justify the cost.
