Apartment Engelhaus is situated in the quiet 'Petit Village' of Zermatt, a 10 minute walk to the centre of Zermatt and with stunning views of the Matterhorn.
Ski and boot room located on the ground floor. There is an elevator to the second floor(press 3 in lift) where the apartment is situated on the left.
This well appointed apartment sleeps 6 in three large en suite double bedrooms that are individually thermostatically controlled. There is a washing machine and dryer in the apartment and a well equipped entrance hall with good storage for ski clothing. The kitchen has dishwasher, oven & hob, microwave, and bread maker. The kitchen island overlooks the open plan dining area and sitting room which is also well equipped. The living area is spacious with a TV + free view, fast wireless internet and SONOS sound dock speakers. There is a wood burning stove (wood can be purchased from Migros) for winter months and 3 large balconies, for the summer months.
Bed linen, towels, and dressing gowns provided with the apartment which is serviced on a weekly basis. It also benefits from its position adjacent to the Alpenlodge Hotel. Breakfast can be provided by the hotel on request.

We had a wonderful stay and would rate this home 8/10 overall.The apartment is beautiful, spotless, and was the perfect size for our family of six (my husband and I, our three children, and my mother-in-law). The views are absolutely incredible and one of the highlights of the property. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with everything we needed to cook and prepare meals, which we really appreciated.There are just a few things future guests should know. The biggest surprise was the lack of privacy. While enjoying the balcony, we were directly overlooking neighboring families. The children next door spent a lot of time outside playing on the trampoline and with a hose, and the activity carried right up to our patio. We completely understand kids having fun outdoors, but it made it difficult to enjoy a quiet, serene setting. We also couldn't leave the kitchen patio door open because cigarette smoke from the apartment below drifted inside.The location is slightly outside the center of town, which wasn't a problem for us, but the uphill walk back to the apartment is steep. Anyone traveling with strollers, mobility limitations, or heavy luggage should be aware they may prefer taking a taxi.Overall, this is a gorgeous, spacious, and well-equipped apartment with spectacular views. We'd definitely recommend it to guests who don't mind a bit of a walk and a more active neighboring environment.

The property has an incredible view of the Matterhorn. The walk up to the property is a bit steep. We had problems with the WiFi and the Television and the host did everything (although unsuccessfully) he could to fix the problem. We appreciated his concern and his attempts to correct the problem. The only thing lacking was that there was no micro-wave oven. We were very appreciative that the host provided free taxi service to and from the train station. Overall, we were very pleased with our unit.

This is our second stay in Peter’s apartment. It is roomie for a family of six. Clean, comfortable and quiet. The view is amazing and you can never get bored of the Matterhorn view. It’s an easy walk to Sunnegga lift. Coming back from town is uphill and we utilized the taxis if we had groceries. Will definitely be back!
