This is the origin of the current location of West Glacier. 100% of the community is within 1/4 mile of the railroad. Thousands of tourists descend on this sleepy little railway town every year and we are very proud of our friendly mountain home and family heritage. The Belton train depot is still active and tourists can be shuttled from the station to Park locations on the historic "Red Buses" that have been completely restored. Maybe consider reserving a tour through Glacier Park with the Red Bus tours, it has high reviews.

Local must see hotspots would include Flathead Lake, Bigfork, Whitefish Mountain and the Great Bear and Bob Marshall Wilderness areas.
