The Cottage at Stainsacre Hall is in a beautiful secluded spot just at the edge of protected woodland.. 1 step to entrance.
All on the Ground Floor:
Open plan living space.
Living area: 43" Freeview Smart TV
Dining area.
Kitchen area: Electric Oven, Microwave, Fridge, Dishwasher
Bedroom: Kingsize (5ft) Bed, 32" Freeview Smart TV
Bathroom: Bath, Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Oil underfloor central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Welcome pack and doggy extras.. Lawned garden with decked area and garden furniture. Grounds with woodland (shared with owner). Stabling and grazing for horses. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is an unfenced river in the woodland, 180 yards.. Less than 3 miles from the historic town of Whitby, this detached cottage is set in the quiet village of Stainsacre, within easy reach of the Yorkshire coast, sandy beaches and scenic walking routes.
The cottage is comfortably furnished and well maintained, with views across the lawned garden leading down to a private woodland area, complete with a footpath through the trees. The setting is peaceful and offers plenty of space to relax.
Inside, the property benefits from underfloor heating throughout and an open-plan living, kitchen and dining area, with doors opening onto a decked seating space — ideal for enjoying a morning coffee or dining outside in warmer weather. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals, while the living area provides a comfortable place to unwind.
The bedroom features a king-size bed, and the bathroom includes both a bath and a large walk-in shower.
Ideal for couples, the cottage also welcomes those travelling with a baby. A local pub serving home-cooked food is within walking distance, and Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay and other coastal destinations are just a short drive away.
For outdoor enthusiasts, the Cinder Track runs nearby, while the Cleveland Way offers coastal walking. Dalby Forest and Falling Foss are also within easy reach. Stabling and a paddock are available next door by prior arrangement (at cost), making this a suitable option for those wishing to bring a horse.

Best short break in years.
Would recommend if you want a relaxing time
Plenty of walks around the area and still close enough to town for when you want amenities

The property is beautiful and very tastefully done. Its close to local amenities and lots to visit. Our only mention would be it needs some low level lighting, to sit of an evening with the lights on is too bright. It could also do with an extractor fan for the hob area and the bathroom. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go back

Beautiful cottage that is set in a quiet location which is excellent for a relaxing break. The cottage is very well equipped and decorated to very high standard. I would definitely recommend to other visitors and will hopefully visit again.
