Summary:
Beach Daze 1 is situated half a block from dog beach and a very short walk to Newport St where you can indulge in all the fun shops, bars and eclectic restaurants.
When you pull up out front you will be greeted by a charming front patio with comfy outdoor seating and a beautiful tree creating shade on those warm summer days.
The Space:
This 2 bedroom, 1 bath adorable cottage has been just recently renovated. With fresh paint throughout the house, new flooring and all brand new, comfy furniture.
The kitchen has been completely renovated with brand new stainless- steel appliances including the range, oven hood, dishwasher, and microwave. The kitchen has new quartz countertops and mosaic tile backsplash.
There is a brand new breakfast bar for your casual dining experience.
The living room has brand new furniture including a comfy sofa that converts to a bed when needed. There is a large screen HD TV with cable and wifi in the living room.
The guest bedroom on the main floor has a full over full bunk bed with a twin trundle underneath with lots of space for 3 adults to sleep.
Upstairs is the master bedroom with lots of windows and a King -sized bed, cable and wifi all included.
The bathroom is on the main floor and features a tub/shower combo.
Beach Daze also has a laundry room with washer and dryer and a cute back garden area with grass and plants that is fenced off with a short white picket fence from the back property – Beach Daze 2.
This is a cottage you will look forward to returning to time and time again.

Nestled between the San Diego River and the hills of Point Loma, Ocean Beach is perfect for surfers to enjoy the waves created by jetties. The beach is also friendly for swimmers, sunbathers, even dogs too!
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:
This home is Non-Smoking home. We don't allow smoking inside or outside the home.
There are 2 units on this property. Beach Daze 1 sits in the front and a smaller unit is behind it. Guests for the back unit will be accessing through a shared pathway adjacent to the front unit's yard area.
This home is equipped with split units in the living room and each bedroom. They provide both heat and a/c.
This home is located in a residential neighborhood and in a shared property. Please respect your surrounding neighbors. Our rental agreement includes a no tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties. Evictions are strictly enforced if at any time our guests choose to disregard this rule.
For homes that allow pets there are certain rules that always apply. Pets are never to be left alone in the homes uncrated. If you plan on spending time away from your pets please find a doggy day care or crate your pet. You can call our office for recommendations or check the Welcome Book. This home has a 2 pet maximum (depending on size) and because there is a small cottage in the back, no pets are to be left unleashed while outside.
Ocean Beach lies in the San Diego International Airport flight path for some departing flights. No planes can depart after 11:30 pm or before 6:30 am.
Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting with La Jolla Vacation Rentals.

Baby items are available to rent for an additional charge (high chair and pac-n-play)
Boogie Boards are available to rent for an additional charge ($20/Each)
Beach Wagons are available to rent for an additional charge of $35/Each
Early Check-In's and Late Check-Out's can be requested 1 week prior to check-in.
Early check in is a $25/Hr fee from 12PM

Great location. Quiet and safe community with good access to restaurants and the beach. Beach Daze is a comfortable surf cottage for a couple. ocean Beach is worth the visit.

This was excellent! Very close to dog beach for our critter, enough room when family visited and the front porch and backyard was the best. The interior of this house is very well equipped with just about everything we needed. Anytime we encountered the staff, they were friendly and fun. I would live here if possible, however it is a vacation retreat. Highly recommend this home!

The property was exactly as described, but the master bedroom was incredibly spacious and airy which was a great surprise! We loved all of the small touches the property managers left for us - including champagne and note for our anniversary, and doggy swag since they know we were bringing our furry friend. Plus, they were really thoughtful of all of the little things that make a stay away from home comfortable, we especially appreciated the fans, the Brita pitcher in the refrigerator, and ice cube trays. All of the housewares necessary for cooking were present, and there was even a spice rack! My son and his friends appreciated the half block walk to the beach, and spent a day at Sea World, which was almost walking distance, and we were able to see the nightly fireworks from the nearby dog beach. The house was great, very comfortable and spacious and we really enjoyed our time there!

I grew up in OB and love it. Visit often. This property was in a great location. Fun, classic, vintage OB beach cottage. Very pet friendly. No AC but fans are plentiful and the evenings cool off. Comfy beds. Quiet nights. Stocked home with all you’d need. Lovely front deck. WiFi is not very secure so I never logged in. I’m mold sensitive and had some immune response issues to the home. Given the age and humidity beach proximity of San Diego, there could be some water damage and hidden mold but nothing was visible. If you’re sensitive, I’d suggest a newer property to rent. Although the home was pet friendly, our dogs came back home (to the desert) from our trip and were covered in fleas. We had to fog our home, deep clean our furniture and deflea the dogs. The couch and chair in the living room need to be replaced with furniture that is not fabric. We did have an issue with parking. Watch for street sweep days…one side of the street is swept on Wednesdays and the other on Fridays. We got a ticket because we assumed both sides were cleaned the same day. Also, parking in OB is generally tricky and typically people and accommodating and kind to one another trying to pack/unpack their cars but the neighbor to the left (if facing the property) was very very rude the day we left when we had to park our car for 2 minutes in the large condo complex driveway. Otherwise, OB is always chill and friendly.
