Casita Rosa is a two bedroom home located in historic downtown Napa. This charming, 1600 sq. foot home was built in 1927, and is a Spanish-style bungalow with lots of windows and beautiful light. This high spec, 2 bedroom/ 2 bathroom fully equipped home and is one of Napa`s only 41 legal whole~home, non-hosted Vacation Rentals.
Situated in Downtown Napa, Casita Rosa, is your home-away-from-home in the heart of the beautiful Napa Valley! Casita Rosa guests enjoy the convenience of being a 2-block walk to the downtown Napa Shopping and Dining District. Freshly remodeled in January 2019 and updated with open space living area, dining room and fully equipped kitchen with white marble countertops, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, pots and pans, utensils etc., everything you need to enjoy cooking with local ingredients. The home is equipped to provide our traveling guests with everything they would need to make it the perfect home base while they explore all that Wine Country has to offer!
Enjoy being blocks away from 5-star dining, live music, wine bars, shopping, and galleries. The Oxbow Market is also a short walk from Casita Rosa as is the new Napa River Trail on the east side of the river, southbound, which will bring you to the new Cinemark Movie Theatre Complex, Velo Bike Rental, Forge Pizza, In-Shape Gym, and the Farmer`s Market on Saturdays. A short morning stroll will bring you to ABC Bakery--a local favorite--for morning coffee, scrumptious quiche and baked goods. Just blocks away from the house, you`ll discover world class dining: some Napa favorites are Morimoto`s, Angele, Cole`s Chop House, Celadon, Allegria`s, Napkins, ZuZus. (Dining and winery maps and guides are provided at the house and the Napa Visitor`s Center at the Riverfront on Main Street.) When staying at Casita Rosa, all that Napa Valley has to offer are easily within your reach. Wineries are a 10 minute drive from the house in any direction, and San Francisco and the Bay Area are one hour to the south.
Casita Rosa sleeps up to 4 guests. We furnish Casita Rosa with high thread-count sheets, comfy faux down pillows, and fresh towels, as well as bath sheets for our guests using the spa, and all of the paper goods and detergents you would expect to have in your own home--toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, soaps and shampoos, etc.
Casita Rosa is close to easy access to Highway 29 and the Silverado Trail, home of the finest wineries in the world. Drive time: 5 minutes to Carneros Region wineries (southwest Napa) and 5 minutes to Napa wineries off Silverado Trail, 20 minutes to Sonoma Square, 15 minutes to Yountville, 25 minutes to St. Helena, 40 minutes to Calistoga. For the family with fun on its mind, the local playground is 5 blocks away at historic Fuller Park and Six Flags amusement park is 20 minutes south. It`s a 55 minute drive to San Francisco, 55 minutes to Oakland International Airport, and 75 minutes to San Francisco International Airport.

Getting around by car is fairly easy.
The closest BART station is Pittsburg/ Bay Point BART Station.
Using car from my place to Downtown San Francisco is 1 hour and 12 minutes [51.5 miles], Dowtown Berkeley is 56 minutes [40.2 miles] and Downtown Oakland is 59 minutes [13.9 miles].
Using the BART from Pittsburg/ Bay Point BART Station to Downtown San Francisco is approximately 1 hour, to Downtown Berkeley is approximately 50 minutes and to Downtown Oakland is approximately 45 minutes.

- Extra guests are not allowed without prior approval
- Quiet hours are between 10pm-8am
- The maximum amount of guests is 4
- The City allows a maximum amount of 2 cars to be parked on the premises. If you are visiting with more cars there is normally street parking available.
- Please respect the neighbors and keep noise to reasonable levels.
- Hosting weddings, auctions, commercial functions are not allowed for this property. The total number of persons (renters and guests) cannot exceed twice the number of authorized renters, which is 8 for this property.

This property is in an excellent location - just a short 10 minute walk into downtown Napa. However, if you are planning this with another couple be aware that the two bedrooms are not equal! One is huge with a large en-suite bathroom and the other is tiny with an equally tiny bathroom. Closet smelled damp and musty and I didn’t want to hang anything in there as it took on the smell. Pillows on the bed could also do with an upgrade as were very small and thin in pillowcases that were extremely crumpled, and not exactly inviting to sleep on.The whole house, whilst having updated kitchen and living room furniture, looked like it had been closed up and nobody had been in there in weeks. It had a weird musty smell and was roasting hot when we arrived. There was no welcome basket or note, (as we have had in every other VRBO property we have stayed in) which would have been nice and garden furniture was all covered in leaves and debris from trees which we had to clean off before we could sit on it, again affirming our suspicion that nobody had been in it for a while. It looked to me like it was cleaned post the last stay but then nobody had been since. A quick visit prior to new occupants to air out property and tidy up garden etc would have been beneficial. There was absolutely nothing in the fridge - some milk would have been nice or at the very least a bottle of water given the price we paid.. The ice trays in freezer were also completely empty.

The house is clean, beautiful, comfortable and well maintained. Very spacious and perfect for 2 or 4 people. Our host was kind and very responsive. We love the fact that we could walk to the cafes and restaurants downtown. I would recommend and definitely stay at this property again.
