Clean & Safe Rental Properties: Keeping our vacation homes sparkling clean is a top priority for us here at Morton & Furbish Vacation Rentals. All properties are cleaned, sanitized & disinfected before guests check-in with products proven to eliminate viruses & bacteria. All linens are laundered at an offsite facility and new linens and towels are brought in for every guest's stay. The entirety of our housekeeping processes meet and exceed all CDC cleaning guidelines. If you have any questions/concerns, please reach out to our office for more information.
For your convenience: Our housekeepers will leave a check in packet with area information for you at the property. Also included at the rental are paper products, trash bags, dish soap and hand soap. Guests are asked to bring their own toiletries for their stay.

My family and I spent 2 weeks at short gap cabin. It is a lovely cabin which is beautifully decorated and furnished. The covered porch was great for sitting and for eating our meals while enjoying the view and sounds of the lake. The dock was also a great place to sit and enjoy looking at the lake and have your morning coffee. The cabin's location on the lake is great with a view of the open lake and the mountains. We definitely plan on coming back again. Morton & Furbish customer service was excellent.

Lake side cabin with kayaks was a fun August getaway. The property inside & out was beautiful! We got to see the milkyway three nights of our stay and watch Saddleback Mountain turn deep purple every evening.

Great weather and location.
Kitchen was missing a couple things that would be helpful.
Broken Toaster, no measuring cups, no measuring spoons. Lucky for me I premix my pancake ingredients for an easy homemade breakfast.
No real problems. Good space. Good times.

All good at this relaxing house. Perfect for leaving cares behind and enjoying beautiful sights and sounds of Maine mountains.
