Escape to the peaceful beauty of Forest Lake House, a spacious lakefront retreat nestled on the shores of AuTrain Lake in the heart of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Perfect for families, couples, and outdoor enthusiasts, this inviting home offers the ideal balance of comfort, relaxation, and adventure—just 10 minutes from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and the sandy beaches of Lake Superior.
Designed with families and groups in mind, the home features a fully equipped kitchen, two comfortable living areas with Roku Smart TVs, and two full bathrooms—one on each level. Sleeping arrangements include a queen bedroom upstairs, a queen bed and four twin beds downstairs (one bunk bed and one trundle), plus a convenient pull-out sofa upstairs, providing plenty of space for everyone to unwind after a day of exploring.
Step outside onto the multi-level deck overlooking AuTrain Lake, where you can sip your morning coffee while taking in peaceful woodland views or grill your favorite meal as the sun sets over the water. In the evening, gather around the fire pit, roast marshmallows, share stories, and create unforgettable memories under the stars. 3 Kayaks available for guests to use.
Adventure is right outside your door! Spend your days swimming, kayaking, boating, or fishing from the private dock, or launch your boat from the public boat launch located less than a mile away. Snowmobilers and ATV riders will love being less than a mile from the trail system, making this home a perfect year-round destination.
Please Note: Water levels in the channel connecting the property to AuTrain Lake fluctuate throughout the season, which may affect dock access for boats.
Pet Friendly! We know vacations are better with your four-legged family members. Pets are welcome with a $50 per pet fee, plus a $30 additional pet cleaning fee.

Very nice, clean and well maintained house with great views, especially from the dock. This was my second stay here and again I was very satisfied with everything.

house was very clean ! A few issues tho. Large spider nest in the kayak, unaware until out on the water. Pots and pans were worn out, no finish on the bottom. Steps to the lake covered in green mold and slippery, causing a fall down 10 steps! Need to be scrubbed. Volume does not work on the bedroom TV upstairs. No emergency numbers for needs after hours. Toilet in the upstairs bathroom slow to flush. Cornhole board broken. Able to play by propping it up tho. No info about supplies in the garage as part of our stay, just had to sort out what was available.
