The cottage was great - very clean, nice location and had everything we needed. Appears to be pretty new. A few small things kept me from giving it 5 stars. 1) there are no blinds or shades on any of the windows. This is a big deal for the bedrooms when the sun is shining in at 6 am and I don't want to get up that early when I'm on vacation. 2) there needs to be cable or at least a smart TV. The antenna only pics up a few channels and the reception varies throughout the day. 3) the bed in the master is very squeaky, can't change positions without waking up the person next to you. These are minor issues that can be fixed easily, overall we were pleased and we would absolutely stay here again if some of these items were addressed.

We had an amazing stay at the cottage! Such a lovely ambiance, all the things you need when away from home were there. Our hosts were very easy to get in touch with and had clear instructions for things around the house. We highly recommend Grey Goose Cottage

Fantastic location, secluded and quiet, just minutes from Penn Yan. Great commication from property owners and clean. Highly recommended.

The place was clean. However, there was a note that said they can't guarantee the bedding was clean, and also to save sheets for the next guest? That was very off putting from the start. And the bed was covered in a plastic bag that was noisy whenever you moved. Although the place was somewhat secluded, there were no shades or curtains for privacy and to block the early morning sun. The water had a strong sulfur smell and not drinkable. Fortunately I had bottled water in the car.
