Close to the Cheshire and Shropshire borders. The Staffordshire Moorlands and Peak district is also not far away and makes a nice day trip, particularly to Ashbourne, Ilam (25 miles) which is in the magnificent scenery of the Manifold valley with its Saxon roots and Swiss style cottages.
