Artist’s Way is a thoughtfully designed garden apartment located in the Banyan Cottage, just behind the main Banyan House. This ground-floor residence offers a creative, relaxed atmosphere that feels personal, comfortable, and distinctly local.
The apartment is filled with original artwork and color, creating a gallery-like space that reflects St. Petersburg’s vibrant arts community without feeling overstyled. Natural light, curated details, and a calm layout make it well suited for couples, creatives, and guests who appreciate character and design.
The living area provides comfortable seating and a TV for unwinding after a day out, while the fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to enjoy meals at home. Two restful bedrooms offer quiet places to recharge, and the overall layout is easy to settle into whether you’re staying a few nights or a bit longer.
Guests enjoy direct access to a covered patio just outside the apartment, ideal for morning coffee or a quiet moment in the evening. The larger garden deck and yard at the rear of the property are shared with other units and offer additional outdoor space for dining, relaxing, or spending time outside.

The place was for so well decorated with an eclectic art collection. We were on an arts and eats adventure and this was the perfect kick off for our week. We had everything we needed and the complimentary wine was over the top!!

Apartment was very easy for check-in, and suited our needs well for our stay here. Bedrooms were as pictured. Few repairs needed to areas of floor that they are aware of and started work on while we were away during the daytime. Would certainly return. Host VERY responsive to questions and concerns, and responded very quickly.

The location is awesome and is the reason we chose it. It was walkable to Vinoy Park to our music festival and also to downtown. Uber rides are pretty cheap to any of those locations also. There's a nice park, coffee shop, bar, and pickleball close by. Parking is a bit of an issue if you're gone in the evenings as it's all street parking and you may not find anything within a couple of blocks. The area seems safe though.
The place is tiny. There is barely room in each bedroom for a bed and two people can't get dressed at the same time. There are no dressers or night stands. One room has a small closet, but the other one has nothing. You have to open and close your suitcase each time you need something. That's inconvenient over 4 days.
The bathroom is tiny also, and you get four towels for four days for four people. We asked for replacements, but the owner's response was "we're not a hotel, go wash them at a laundromat."
The kitchen was decently equipped but again very tiny.
If you're just staying for a good location and a place to sleep it should be fine, but if you're planning on spending any time there I wouldn't recommend it. Obviously you'll need to bring extra towels. Don't expect any help or assistance from the owners if you need anything.
