On top of a Tuscan hill lies La Rocca, a part of an authentic medieval castle that has been carefully restored and converted into a welcoming holiday home.

Combining historic charm with modern conveniences, this property can comfortably accommodate up to 6 people (but preferably not children or elderly people because of its stairs and layout).

The guests will have to park the car in a private garage (about 300 meters from the villa) and from there will be picked up with a dedicated vehicle and taken directly to the entrance of the property.

The main house includes a large, comfortable lounge with a wood fireplace and two spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, one with a large, relaxing bath tub and the other with a glass shower with panoramic views.

Next to the main house there is an annexe with a sitting area and another bedroom with an elegant marble bathroom.

Outside, the villa offers a beautiful private swimming pool and a large garden rich in lavender bushes, roses, lemon and orange trees organized on different levels and with several terraces which are ideal spots for outdoor aperitifs and dinners.

Other amenities include internet access, SAT-TV, air conditioning and black coffee percolator.

Moreover, this charming property is just 10 minutes’ drive away from the marvelous sandy beaches of Pietrasanta and Forte dei Marmi.

More about Monteggiori:
Monteggiori, piccolo monte, spreads out over a preexisting Roman settlement, or pagus of the Apuan-Ligurians. It is also presumed to have Etruscan origins, testified by the structure of the settlement in a fuso di acropoli form. The village is mentioned for the first time in a document from 1224. The castle (la Rocca) covered an important role during the Middle Ages, being in a strategic position dominating over the plain, the coast and the main throughfares.
In the twelfth century the Lords of Bozzano surrendered it to Lucca; after which it was possessed by Pisa, followed by Castruccio Castracani degli Antelminelli, Paolo Guinigi Lord of Lucca, and Florence, then again back into the hands of Lucca, Pietrasanta, and finally, after the award of Leone X in 1513, it became part of the vicariate of Camaiore.
