We are pleased to offer you a truly whimsical treasure. Salt Box is an enchanting and quaint village home that has been tastefully renovated but still maintains its old style charm. There is a romantic covered outdoor living area that flows to a large walled backyard for privacy as well as garden entertaining. The main cottage has 3 air conditioned bedrooms, 2 on the main floor and an ensuite master bedroom suite upstairs. The cottage has 2 air conditioned bedrooms with a shared bathroom and outdoor shower. A large salt water swimming pool ties the two cottages together. The old style kitchen is equipped with fridge, stove, cooking utensils with a historic fireplace backdrop original from circa 1820. There are various lounging spaces which including the cozy indoor living room and the calm outdoor living room perfect for reading or having small dinner parties. The guest cottage has a small outdoor living room and outdoor eating area to have all your meals under cover overlooking the pool. There is a small BBQ made from repurposed stones from the vintage home where you can cook and sit under the trees.

Salt Box is a beautiful home on an incredible island, and we’re already planning our next trip back.The property was perfect for our group of six, including grandparents, adults, and children. The layout comfortably accommodated everyone and offered plenty of space to gather together while also providing private areas to relax and unwind.The pool and gardens are truly stunning. The layered landscaping is filled with tropical plants, flowers, and fruit trees, creating a lush and peaceful setting. The pool feels like a private oasis nestled between the main house and guest house. We especially loved having multiple indoor and outdoor spaces where we could spend time together after a day at the beach.The design of the home beautifully blends the historic character of an 1800s island home with a sophisticated 1960s jet-set aesthetic. The result is a unique combination of British Colonial elegance, vibrant mid-century tropical style, and open-air island living. Every space feels thoughtfully designed, comfortable, and full of personality.The home is located right in the heart of the village, which means there is some activity and noise, particularly in the historic main house. For us, the trade-off was well worth it. The location is exceptional—an easy walk to the docks, beaches, fishing, shops, and the island’s best restaurants.We absolutely loved our stay at Salt Box and would highly recommend it to families or groups looking for a memorable Harbour Island experience.
