Overall impression: the perfect cabin experience! Remote but not alone. The cabin was stocked with everything I needed, right down to the wine bottle opener!The only thing I wish I had was more time! Sitting on the back porch watching and listening to the world waking up, I felt like I was in a tree fort. I braved the path the stream, not the easiest by any means, but the views along the way and finally reaching the bottom..the massive boulders and the water cascading over the rocks...worth it!!!As a solo traveler with a senior dog, this cabin was ideal. I was able to walk my dog along the road during the day, and the small yard came in handy for night trips. I couldn't bring her down to the stream, otherwise the house was perfect for her.I never worried about being alone in the woods, even if my kids joke with me about it lol. The house was very secure. The hot tub was so relaxing and again, as a solo traveler I usually have trouble with the tops on the hot tubs and generally just fold them in half...this had a hing system that made it so easy to take off and on...its the little things like this that you find here. The screen door on the porch had a hook/eye latch so I knew my dog wasn't escaping. Probably the best stay of my many VRBO stays.

The cabin is a little off the main road but not hard to find. It is very clean and well maintained. The decor makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. The cabin has StarLink for WIFI and has good reception. The host is very friendly and responds to texts in a timely manner. The large screened back porch with a hot tub is the perfect place to relax after spending the day hiking. The kitchen was well supplied with utensils and cook ware. We’re already making plans for another stay

It is as advertised. A peaceful cabin above a step walk down to an amazing spot on the river. My wife, dog and I were there for a weekend. We would go back. The only issue we had was we could not get the WiFi to work, but we did not try to get help with it. Great food in town of Mentone Al. about 20 min. Drive.
