Welcome to the Mountain Top Cabin, a two story cabin in Seward, Alaska. Situated on a secluded hilltop and nestled among towering spruce and hemlock, this cabin affords spectacular views of Exit Glacier and the surrounding mountains. The cabin is on a private lot that borders the Chugach National Forest. A covered deck with seating is attached to the cabin for soaking in the awe inspiring views.
The main floor features an open living room, dining room, and kitchen area. The living room is well-appointed with beautiful leather furniture and satellite TV. The fully equipped kitchen includes an electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, and cooking utensils. The bathroom has a shower, toilet, towels, and hair dryer, as well as a washer and dryer.
The second floor features two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed, dresser, two night stands and a cozy sitting area. The second bedroom includes a full size bed, a twin xl size bed, a dresser, night stand, and chair.
This cabin is equipped with both standard electricity and solar power. WiFi is provided for your convenience.
Outside the cabin is a fire pit, gas grill, and 7 cubic foot freezer for storing your fishing catch while in town. Plenty of parking is available onsite. A beautifully crafted cedar sauna with a changing room is also located next to the cabin to help you relax after a long day. The sauna is heated with a push button diesel fired stove.
We are located a short 10 minute drive from downtown Seward, where you will find the historic downtown area, the Alaska SeaLife Center, the small boat harbor, shopping, restaurants, deep sea fishing, whale watching, glacier viewing and much more.

can’t imagine a better view or a better place to stay while exploring seward! the outdoor space at the cabin was perfection—the view from the back deck, the picnic table, the hammock—we loved it all! made good use of the sauna too! thanks so much for hosting!

The perfect cabin in a perfect location. We loved everything about it. Very close to Seward, Exit Glacier, the ATV tour company, Bear Creek Weir, and hiking. Tucked away in a mountain community with friendly neighbors. Had a moose help herself to some shrubs in the yard. Saw a bull moose on a neighboring road. The view... just wow. Some mornings the clouds would obscure the mountains giving them a sense of mystery. Other days they would be in full view. It seemed like the view was newly beautiful every day.A cabin, with modern amenities (and solar for an evening low-voltage option). Perfect for our family of 4. Thank you!

Great location to Seward

We came up for our pre-wedding honeymoon, my 23rd trip to AK. I've stayed in tents for 14 days on hunts many times so I keep my expectations pretty low. The cabin is very clean, super well equipped with tons of amenities. The sauna is why I booked it and it did not disappoint. Very secluded and private. Amazing views. And the cons: We kept getting a random but very strong smell from the bathroom. Couldn't figure out what it was. The nightly trips down the stairs to use the bathroom was a chore, could use a honey pot upstairs. Water was quite brown with a lot of sediment, inside and from the filtered spigot. And could definitely use blackout curtains in the bedroom for those that can't sleep with masks. Overall a nice place, just needs a few things to make it amazing.
