In the heart of an old truffle field, come and recharge your batteries "In the Heart of the Forest" in a peaceful 3-hectare estate with 20 gîtes, swimming pool and bowling alley. Located in Valaurie, a small picturesque village in the Drôme Provençale, next to Grignan (its magnificent castle and its shows, Grignan Festival, the workshop and shop of Durance products...), the Monastery of Aiguebelle, Nyons & its famous olives, the Drôme villages listed, the Gorges de l'Ardèche, Vallon-Pont-d'Arc & the Chauvet Cave... etc.
Between Drôme Provençale, Ardèche and Vaucluse, the region offers you a multitude of discoveries of historical, cultural and gastronomic heritage.
Our gîte:
We put at your disposal our holiday home: charming little villa of 35m2 offering you all the comforts, which can accommodate up to 5 people with:
- 2 bedrooms (bedroom 1: 1 double bed (140cm), duvet provided, 2 large cupboards, 1 desk) bedroom 2: 1 double bed (140cm) + 1 single bunk bed (90cm), duvets provided, 2 large cupboards, 1 desk)
- living room space & equipped kitchen (oven, microwave oven, Senséo coffee maker and filter coffee maker, kettle, toaster and plancha), table with 2 extensions, washing machine, sofa, 3 nesting tables and 1 footrest
- Bathroom with shower, sink and toilet
Plenty of storage space in the 2 bedrooms.
- Garden and private terrace, outdoor wooden table, parasol, 2 deckchairs, 3 comfortable armchairs and 2 children's armchairs, games (2 tennis rackets, 2 badminton rackets, 2 ping-pong rackets, bowls, frisbee, diving games for the pool, card games and books)
Independent house surrounded by a private garden on the 4 sides, very quiet because the house opens directly onto the forest. The deer sometimes invite themselves to the delight of young and old alike!
2 parking spaces (1 in front of the villa and 1 in the parking lot at the entrance to the estate)
Free Wi-Fi
Common to the 20 gîtes: swimming pool (open from May to September), swing, bowling alley
Municipal tennis court at the entrance to the wood
The centre of the picturesque village (Valaurie) is only a 10-minute walk away.

Somewhat remote location but we had no issue reaching the venue. Instructions from the owner were clear and concise and we had no issues accessing the process even though we were driving a larger van. Sleeping accommodation were great and we slept well. Spotted some local wildlife and overall a restful stay. Would recommend this to anyone looking to get away!

We enjoyed a week in the house and it was very lovely. The pool was good to cool down in the afternoon. Very nice area around Valaurie.
