Enjoy beach living at its best in this cozy, newly renovated bungalow, ideally located just a short walk from La Jolla Shores Beach, Avenida de la Playa, and the world-class shops and restaurants of La Jolla Village. With its relaxed atmosphere, thoughtful amenities, and unbeatable location, this charming home makes it easy to enjoy the very best of San Diego.
This classic 1-bedroom, 440-square-foot bungalow has everything you need for a memorable stay. Whether you're planning a romantic getaway, a relaxing beach vacation, or a personal retreat, this inviting home offers the perfect place to unwind.
The bright and spacious living room features high-vaulted wood ceilings, a skylight, beach-inspired décor, comfortable seating, a ceiling fan, and a 42” Smart TV—the perfect spot to relax with a movie after a day at the beach. Free YouTube TV is also included. The living room features a queen-size pull-out sofa, while the bedroom offers a comfortable king-size bed. Two beach cruisers are also available for guests to enjoy.
Beautiful hardwood floors, updated appliances, and stylish furnishings throughout the home create a warm, welcoming, and serene atmosphere. The great room also includes a dining table with seating for four.
The fully equipped kitchen features granite countertops, a modern backsplash, and all the essentials you need to prepare meals during your stay. A charming breakfast nook provides the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee while breakfast is being prepared. We also provide a Keurig coffee maker and complimentary K-cups.
The spacious and thoughtfully designed bedroom features vaulted ceilings, calming décor, a 40” Smart TV, ceiling fan, and plenty of natural light. The private ensuite bathroom includes shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hair dryer. Amazing location. WiFi was strong enough to handle our work load in the mornings and the afternoons at the beaches were a 7 minute walk. Plenty of food options and within walking distance and the recommendations in the host book were spot on. We’ll definitely book again next time we’re in San Diego.

The good news ...location, privacy, parking, communication/response from Rose were excellent! There is a gas grill available out back that I don't believe was mentioned in the online description. Nice option if you want to grill. Nice to have a washer/dryer onsite. Also nice of Rose to allow an early check-in for us since we arrived a bit early.
What could be improved...There were some minor cleaning issues in bathroom that were quickly handled by a visit from the cleaning crew orchestrated by Rose. Not that big of a deal. The listing online stated that the property has a dining table w/ 4 chairs but it does not! The picture online shows a coffee maker on a small table in the kitchen with 2 small stools and a very small bench. No way can 4 people fit there. We questioned Rose about that before our visit but were told that the owners would not provide a table and 4 chairs. They offered a refund, but we decided to keep our reservation and just tried to use the small coffee table instead. The sofa and chair in the living room area are both very soiled as well as the rug. This was mentioned in a few older reviews but had not been corrected as of or visit. We also did not have hot water in the shower. There were a few other minor issues that could easily be addressed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but with a minimal investment, the property could be significantly improved. The dining issue and inaccurate description online should be corrected immediately.
