This lovingly furnished 3-room vacation apartment, “Irmchen,” in Altefähr is the ideal starting point for exploring the Baltic Sea coast and the cultural highlights of the surrounding area. Located on the southern shore of the island of Rügen, the charming village of Altefähr welcomes its guests with a maritime idyll and offers a magnificent view of Stralsund’s fascinating skyline as well as the Strelasund—the strait that separates Rügen from the mainland.

With its quiet beaches, pine forests, and gently lapping waves, the Strelasund invites you to take relaxing walks along the coast as well as boat trips. The picturesque harbor of Altefähr is just a few minutes’ walk away and offers the perfect backdrop for admiring the sunset over the water and enjoying the view of Stralsund’s historic buildings.

The Hanseatic city of Stralsund, an UNESCO World Heritage Site, is easily accessible by car or ferry. Here, an impressive Old Town with Gothic churches, the town hall, and the famous Ozeaneum awaits discovery.
