This home from home has a timeless charm, making it the perfect choice for a relaxing holiday destination for families and small groups looking to unwind and spend quality time together. Set on the time-honoured cobbled high street of this peaceful, unspoilt fishing village, there are restaurants and shops on the doorstep, while the decked balcony at the back overlooks the ever-changing tidal beck and provides stunning views of the local landscape that has inspired many artists.
The beach and harbour are virtually on the doorstep. Take a short stroll through the narrow streets, past quaint shops, art galleries and the heritage centre, to discover more about Captain Cook and the history of this much-loved coastal hamlet.
For the more adventurous, the local area offers the opportunity to explore a mix of cove beaches, fishing harbours and magnificent cliff-top coastal walks.

Lovely property, much bigger inside than it looks from outside. Situated perfectly near the centre.Make sure you're fit if you choose to sleep on the top floor! Two lots of steep stairs. Bedrooms really spacious and bright with comfy beds. Large kitchen with plenty of space.

Lovely house in great location - had everything you needed in the kitchen and property even including a colection of crabbing buckets and nets that the children loved. Staithes itself is beautiful and a real hidden gem - the house could not be in a more central location.

An idyllic village setting, the kids couldn’t have been happier with the distance to the harbour where they spent most of their time rock pooling and messing about in the sea. The dogs were also big fans of the fact that the property was only a stones throw away from the beach. It was a bit of a hike up the hill to park the car every day but we were made aware of that before we booked so knew what we were letting ourselves in for! A few issues with cleanliness when we first arrived (had to wash a few things up out of the cupboard, floors were not the cleanest and the top floor shower was blocked!) but overall an excellent place to holiday and would not think twice about staying here again!
