Quiet time between 9pm and 7am and to keep the peace with our neighbors and maintain the tranquil environment no loud music, parties or events. No smoking indoors. If smoking outdoors please discard in sealed container only. Due to ongoing drought conditions, fire restrictions have been severe and we are surrounded by the National Park. Do not use the BBQ April - September and at other times if there is a red flag warning (signs posted on the main roads). Campfires and fireworks are prohibited year round. Also, dispose of any cigarettes properly in a sealed container. Be careful not to park your vehicle over tall grass. Please do not dump ashes on the ground or use lighter fluid in the wood stove. Communication (and directions) from the host was good. The location was remote and near good walking trails, yet also a short drive to services in town. Night sky was great. Be aware that the dirt access road is very rocky with deep ditches and may scrape low clearance cars. This rental is overpriced for the condition it is in. The cottage building itself is in significant disrepair. The “clean” dishes were dirty. It was also filled with stuff inside, barely room to put a dog bed down (could not accommodate a guest sleeping on the floor). The outdoor area is also not maintained and full of tall weeds and thorns. I did not try the sauna. My advice to the host is to hire better cleaning staff and invest in some significant repairs and maintenance.
